1: Marco Silvestri (Leeds United): Fair to say that the Italian has been in the dock a fair bit this term and has had his critics. But claimed his second clean sheet on the spin at the weekend and made a couple of brilliant saves in the process at Huddersfield.

2: Moses Odubajo (Hull City). Linked up superbly with Ahmed Elmohamady down the right and also displayed his defensive capabilities, making one key saving challenge to deny Albert Adomah in the first half. His contest with the Boro winger was one in which he won hands-down.

3: Andy Robertson (Hull City). Always threatening going forward with a wand of a left-foot, he was one of a host of Tigers’ players to shine in what ultimately proved a bit of a mismatch with fellow high-fliers Boro.

4: Reece Burke (Bradford City). Strolled through proceedings in blustery Hampshire against Aldershot. Showed his class on the ball and displayed his customary defensive diligence. What a signing he has been for City.

5: Michael Dawson (Hull City). The fact that Boro did not have an effort on target until the 65th minute spoke volumes about the defensive nous and organisation of the Tigers, with Dawson being the on-pitch lieutenant in the back four.

6: Alex Mowatt (Leeds United): Lauded for his wonder goal against Cardiff, Mowatt provided a stunning encore with a strike fit to grace any occasion. Rediscovering his mojo after a subdued start to the season.

7: Mo Diame (Hull City): Operated just behind Abel Hernandez in a 4-4-1-1 formation and it proved a masterstroke. His athleticism, energy and drive was too much for Boro and he scored a well-taken opener in the process. Imposing display.

8: Sam Clucas (Hull City): Was one of the Championship’s best kept secrets, but word is now filtering out much further than East Yorkshire about the former Chesterfield man’s credentials. An outstanding performance on a day when there were many in the amber and black. Composed and was always involved in the game with a seriously impressive work-rate and possessed a goal threat too. What a season he is having.

9: Mirco Antenucci (Leeds United). Amid a pretty torrid opening third of the campaign for Leeds, Antenucci has been a success story and he was cast aside memories of an insipid second half of 2014-15 - and being one of the ‘Charlton Six.’ Found the net at Huddersfield and set up another.

10: Andy Williams (Doncaster Rovers). After netting in last weekend’s win against Colchester, confidence levels are on the rise again for Rovers’ big summer signing, who backed up with a brace to take care of Stalybridge. If Williams is in the groove and scoring, it’s a barometer for Rovers’ overall health and it is starting to improve, whisper it gently.

11: Jamal Campbell-Ryce (Sheffield United). His pace and trickery was clearly too much for Worcester defender Sam Minihan, who had a tough afternoon. Was denied a deserved goal by a fine save from visiting goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan.

Manager: Steve Bruce. May have been suffering from a bit of virus, but his Tigers side are in pristine health. Deserving of the bouquets with Hull very much the team to beat at the top end of the Championship.

You would have thought that one or both of our midfield would have got in there.

Slight tangent, but seems our "younger players" are on the radar of Southampton - was talking to one of their scouts at the game. Looking at Robertson, Clucas, McGuire?

Definitely Elmo for me, key assists for two of the three goals.

**** it, and everyone else that played against Boro. It was a fantastic display and I cannot believe that any of the Leeds, Blunts or Donny players played anywhere near the level of our players.

    Yorkshire Post out!

If they had put the whole team up for it, it wouldn't have been out of the question .

It's no surprise as we're the best team in Yorkshire by a country mile.

In fairness Alex Mowatt was pretty terrible throughout the game. He doesn't deserve to get in any team of the week imo. but he also got man of the match in that game for some reason. Did nothing except his goal (although it was an awesome goal). Dallas played far better, surprised he isn't there but dunno how other players in yorkshire performed to be honest.
