York races starts tomorrow

Anyone going to York this week ?

Tomorrow (Wed) is a fantastic racecard so I'll be there. Looking forward to a brilliant day after seeing a much improved performance and a win from the lads tonight.

My horse racing knowledge is limited at best but I fancy Idaho in The Great Voltigeur Stakes, should be around even money. It's one of three Aiden O'Brien runners in a 6 horse field so I'll be looking out for any late market plunges on his other horses before placing any bets.

Anyone else got any tips info etc ?

 

Giving it a miss this year... Cutting down on my betting habit!
Besides the £55 it was each into the posh seats last year makes it a dear day unless you have a good day with the bets!

 

Agreed it can get very expensive. Entrance fee, beers, champagne and the kicker for me is the £60 taxi home after getting hammered in York and either missing or can't be arsed with the train.

Need to win £300 just to break even !!!!

Not going to the dog botherers game but always happy to meet fellow sufferers for a pint pre match.
We will be having a proper meet up at some point ( the paddies flights dictate the game). You are welcome to join us, but it's a long day and might get messy.
