Cracking news. A bit sad for Luton, the football league royally ****ed them treating them worse than any other side with a ridiculous penatly to condemn them, but they'll be back, and i'm delighted for another North East club to get back in the league.
A 10 points deduction does not help a team in financial difficulties so once again the football authorities have messed
They docked Luton a mind-boggling 30 points, totally and utterly ****ed them, no other team has ever lost more than 10. Appeal was rejected, and reason they took it 3 times worse than anyone else never explained! None of this is owt to do with York though, and delighted to see them, and our old keeper Michael Ingham (Good lad..), back in the league. We should send them a few loans to hwlp them out, good for our young lads to stay local.
I felt a bit sad when they went down. I remember their hey day with a season in the second tier (with us of course ... ) Good to see them back
Well done York. I think it may be a very long time until we see our other regional footy club, Darlo, back in the football league though, if indeed ever.
Just done a quick count up for Conference leauge, 15 out 24 teams were in football league in their history, life at the bottom can be a killer. Makes this especially good to see City back. Tough on Luton but I think it was transfer dealings that caused them such a big points loss.
