    Saturday 22th December 2012

    3pm- Bootham Crescent

    The new hub
This is the new look of the match day hub and this is how it will stay from now on it still is the same but is in more depth, I will still post it before games but I will also provide more information so that this is better thread, this is still there so that you can post your team prediction and or also what you would like the team to be as that may be different to the team that MA plays. You can also chat before the game and during the game and then after you can analyse the match by giving a review, first by saying what you thought by giving a round up and then if you can you can rate the players out of 10 giving a reason why you rated them what you have rated them. Thanks and enjoy the game.

    Team News
York could be missing Chris Doig (Ankle) and Ashley Chambers (groin) who are doubtful, it is expected that Patrick McLaughlin should be fit after recovering from bruised liver and kidneys.
The only news for Gillingham is that Chris Whelpdale has recovered and should play a part against York.
    Past meetings
we have not played York City in the League since 1999, in our last meeting we won 3-1 but this is a roundup of the last 5 meetings.
    15 Feb 1997 York City v Gillingham W 2-3 League Division 2
    30 Aug 1997 York City v Gillingham L 2-1 League Division 2
    17 Jan 1998 Gillingham v York City D 0-0 League Division 2
    15 Aug 1998 York City v Gillingham D 1-1 League Division 2
    16 Jan 1999 Gillingham v York City W 3-1 League Division 2

We have not lost in our last 3 meetings so hopefully we will continue that run and make that 4 in a row when we play them this Saturday.

    Current league table
As of the 20.12.12 we sit 1st place in the League 2 table and York City sit 14th in the table.
We have won 2 of our last 5 which is the same as York have done.

    HOADIE’S View on this match
I think that this is a game that we need to win, we could open up a bit more of a gap on Port Vale with a win and that is important with us playing them in January. We need to go back to basics and start defending better; a nice win at York should do a lot for the confidence as that would be a good win.

    The score line and scorers
I think that this will be a tough game but I believe that we can win this as we are great on the road, upto the last game which York had against Bristol Rovers they had not been that great at home and with an away record like ours I believe that we can win this. I think that we will win by 2 goals to 1 with Deon Burton scoring first, then with Chris Whelpdale getting the second then after that Ashley Chambers with get one back for York but it will be too late.

    Bets
If you have any bets that you have placed and you want to share them you are free to share them on here, I am also willing to share any bets that I have placed, you can ask if you want.

If I was doing the selection this would be my team:

    ...............................Nelson

    Fish...............Davies..............Barrett..........Jackman

    ...............................Payne

    .....................Lee....Vincelot......Allen

    ...............................Keds

    .......................Weston

    Keds to draw them in.
Weston to have a free role.
    Wing backs.
Lee to take all the throw ins, that's a good throw he has got.

However, as an away game we might see Burton in for Keds.

I think the same as Burton is brilliant on away days. I think we need Weston in the starting line up as I am not convinced that Kedwell and Burton work together well. Also we need Frampton out the team after the last game and Davies should come back.
