http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29389188 We got hammered there last season. Lets hope for revenge. Both sides have a win, two draws and three defeats in the last six games. York are without a home win yet, after drawing four and losing one. Pompey have a win, two draws and two losses on the road.
Pompey team v York: Jones; Devera, Robinson, Whatmough; Wynter, Wallace, Dunne, Hollands (c), Shorey; Westcarr, Drennan Pompey subs: Poke, Webster, Ertl, Atangana, Barcham, Holmes, Taylor
Portsmouth 01 Paul Jones 05 Joe Devera 03 Jack Whatmough 16 Paul Robinson 15 Alex Wynter 29 Danny Hollands 21 James Dunne 08 Jed Wallace 17 Nicky Shorey 20 Craig Westcarr 18 Michael Drennan Substitutes 02 Adam Webster 07 Andy Barcham 09 Ryan Taylor 11 Rickie Holmes 13 Johnny Ertl 22 Michael Poke 25 Nigel Atangana
York substitution already ! Michael Coulson off with a calf injury (?), replaced by Lindon Meikle. After only 3 minutes play.
We've at least had a shot on target - at least we're edging it so far. Not sure Jones should rely so much on long kicks though.
Hoping for a win to be honest. Craig Westcarr owes us a goal, and with the pace of both Jed Wallace & Michael Drennan, we should create chances.
Half time whistle, and it's 0-0. Come on Awfs, get them playing better for the second half. This is the kind of game we should be winning.....
Just seen this answer on Pompey Live, which was a bit concerning Howard: Effort is there. Quality is not. They are not very good. Until I noticed the question Comment From John in rainy Kilburn NW6 Have York City been up for this game?
Time for Ryan Taylor to come on ? Two goals in midweek for the reserves, so he must be raring to go. Craig Westcarr is a big disapointment to my mind, so far this season.
