    Firstly I have to admit to missing the U'll game :( I was lying on my back in front of the telly unable to move. I damaged my back on Friday but went to the Yoof game anyway BUT wearing just a tee shirt when it hissed down and got a little chilly plus standing for two hours resulted in a completely locked back and MORE THAN A LITTLE BIT of pain!

    Anyway back to yoof.

    U18's
    Won 2-1 in a game they should have won 3 or 4-0. Olly Muldoon scored two from outside the box, the first from a well worked freekick from just outside the box (centreish) which was rolled to the right and Olly tucked cleanly into keeper's right corner, the second was a 25 yard volley which took a deflection before looping into the centre of the goal with the keeper diving to his left in the direction of the original shot. Olly could have got his hat-trick but hit a second half penalty just over the bar when he went for power over direction.

    Barnet were a hard working competent team but having been 2-0 up at half time we should have put this game to bed easily but instead we wasted a number of chances in the second half which gave Barnet a bit of confidence to attack us in the last 10 minutes and got their goal (after some slightly sloppy defending by probably our best defender) which resulted in them throwing everybody forward. We still had more chances after Barnet's goal but with finishing that was rushed, rather than unlucky, these went begging.

    U16's
    Won 4-1

    <cheers>

    Thank you AllHell, your reports from Sparrows Lane are much appreciated.

    I hope your back recovers quickly if it has not already done so. I spend a lot of time in the Dominican Republic. The rain there is like a warm shower, but the locals are absolutely terrified of it. If a few spots fall on them they think they will dissolve in it, and they complain of having the 'flu for a week afterwards. The ex-pat Brits there are too sensible to "go out in the midday sun" but do walk around in the rain causing the locals to tap their foreheads signifying "loco (crazy)".
