don't like that color and don't like the deal as well. Manures have 50M per year with no CL action. We get only 40M? Will stick to my Michelins, boooooo!!
It's reportedly the second best deal ever. Not too shabby for a club that simply doesn't have the global fan base, history or attraction of a United, Real Madrid etc. Great work by the board and helps us with FFP etc.
Samsung are cutting edge and becoming ubiquitous. They made us look good. With Yokohama I get the feeling we're doing them the favour. I can't help feel despite all the talk about matching a need in each other's target market geographic Chelsea just went with the most money and then have tried to justify it. We have been looking for a new sponsor since last autumn and something tells me Samsung ditched us and not the other way around. Racism large or small, real or perceived has the same impact and doesn't sell units globally. I think we'll see Samsung on someone else's shirt next season and it'll be interesting to see how much they get.
I fancy you're close to the truth here dfer! Loads of new business for the club shop again, which we have to learn to live with, but I hope and pray the new shirt won't be too different from the current one and certainly with the absolute minimum red on it!
It will make a change from them moving into ours, nationally I mean. Yoka ten, Poke yoka, Tombo chimbo.
Maybe it's just all those tires we need for the bus.....thought I'd get in there before some smart alec!!
We can always lend some for the Spurs Juggernaut. If we are looking to the Japanese market we are doing the right thing, I went to a couple of matches Aust v Japan and the fans are generally young, incredibly noisy and really into it. They also have some bloody good players. Could work out to be a very good deal, lets hope so.
Unfortunately Spurs chose Bridgestone/Firestone for their juggernaut and as you will have read they tend to come off when pressures are put upon them. There is of course a lengthy and costly lawsuit being fought as we type, so the juggernaut is having to plod on with some remoulds from some South American outfit for the short term. Meanwhile the whole footballing world is pulling away from them, it is hard to see if they will ever catch up.
