2 years ago it seemed Gourcuf was being lined up as a replacement for Cesc.

    Simlair playing attributes, similar ages

But Cesc stayed and Gourcuf moved from Bordeaux to Lyon where he's struggled with Injury and form.

Ex-Gooner Remi Garde is Manager at Lyon and rumors are of a possible loan move in January which I think would be a great move.

Less pressure if he doesn't recapture his old form just send him back at the end of the loan, cheap which Wenger loves.

Ramsey has improved and is only 20 but he's not at the level we need right now
Arteta seems more like a holding player than anything

I hope Wenger goes for him or another CAM along with a new striker (André-Pierre Gignac ??)

I think we are pretty much covered in that position, I would much rather we focus on getting a striker who can assist RVP, particularly as we are likely to miss Gervinho for up to 4weeks in January......

Wilshere is probably the best 'replacement' for Cesc and we already have him.

I do think with Nasri also having left, Diaby constantly injured, Benayoun on loan and Rosicky and Arshavin both past their best another creative mid would be a good idea.

    1. Mario Goetze - my first choice. One of the best young players in europe.
    2. Eden Hazrad - more of a forward/winger hazard is a brilliant player that would walk straight into our starting 11.
3.Yoann Gourcuff- always had the potential to be a true world beater. Lazy and had some injury problems. on his day though he's unplayable and wenger could probably get the best out of him.

I still think we need another creative Mid. Arteta and Benayoun were short term solutions to losing Cesc and Nasri.
I think we'd have to find somewhere near £30m to tempt Dortmund to sell Gotze though.
Gourcuff could be a great loan signing, with an option to buy.

yeh that would really be a cracking move, because it works out well for arsenal either way. As well as him i also thought that either hamsik or gotze would be great players to bring in, i would also have said hazard but clearly real have shown some interest in him so we have no chance.

Also i think we should also be on the look out for what is happening with the di maria situation with real, because h=if he is out of favour then we could possibly get him on the cheap even in the summer. Also niko gaitan the benfica player looks an exciting prospect.

Diaby Rosicky and Arshavin can go. Benayoun's only on loan anyway.

    DM - Song, Coquelin
    CM - Arteta Rosicky
    AM - Ramsey Wilshere
    Additional - Diaby

Wings (Interchanging) - Gervinho, Theo, Ryo, Chamberlain

There really isn't much room in the squad for new players, and that's with Benayoun & Arshavin leaving. You could maybe replace Rosicky with a new purchase, but I think he's done well so far this year.

i love it when we get on. You could replace Diaby & Rosicky and I don't think too many people would complain if they were replaced with quality like Goetze. then the squad would be amazing.
