Injury concerns for QPR after home victory Niko Kranjcar of QPR 25/03/2014 By West London Sport QPR assistant manager Kevin Bond said he was unsure whether Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar might miss Saturdayâs game against Blackpool after both players went off injured in the win over Wigan. Kranjcar was replaced at half-time after aggravating an ongoing hamstring problem and Barton limped off with six minutes of the match remaining. Bond explained: âJoey was going to come off a couple of minutes earlier as he was struggling. Iâm not sure what the issue is there and we all hope itâs something not too serious. âNiko had a tweak. I donât know whether heâll miss a game but I think if we had left him on he might have ended up missing three games. âWhat we want at this stage is to make sure that we keep everyone fit going into the end of the season.â
And no Yossi either..... And Bobby looked out on his feet. Simpson and Suk_Young looked sharp though...
I'm concerned about Dunne. Finglas mentioned that he was speaking to one of the QPR physio's recently on a flight and he said that Dunne has been carrying an injury for a while now and will be forced to retire at the end of the season. It would explain why he has been nowhere near the same player in the second half of the season. He's losing more and more mobility. He's played way too many games and Harry should have used Onouha more beside one of Dunne and Hill.
Don't understand why Yun wasn't playing in the first place. MOM against Middlesborough. Good win though.
That would explain a lot mate, as he hasn't looked anything like the same player for the last couple or three months! With Simpson back and Yun looking good, there's no reason why Harry can't give him a much needed rest. We have 3 other CBs in Hill, Onuoha and Hughes.
Apparently it has seriously reduced his mobility and he will retire at the end of the season. We shouldn't forget that for most of the season Hill,Dunne and Green were responsible for us achieving the best defensive record in this league. Of course it may be just a coincidence that Dunne's injury has coincided with us concealing more goals but it's worrying that Harry didn't play Ned more. I think this makes it pretty clear that Harry simply doesn't rate Ned at CB. Either way nobody can slate Hill or Dunne this year, as both old warhorses have given us great value for money.
I think thats obvious from what we see on the pitch Nutso. I am a little concerned that a club physio feels it appropriate to tell that to a stranger (even a QPR fan) on a plane though - retirement is Dunne's business, and he might change his mind/ find a way to play on.
i meant in the warm up...they were just in front of me in the lost...doing tricks and generally messing around.....Simpson didn't look bothered at all, lots of sprints, and turns...looked keen.
There's a photo on Loft for Words of JB in the dugout with a huge ice pack on his right thigh, probably a strain of some sort.....
