Carroll will never justify his 35M price tag. I wouldn't pay over 8M for him.

Liverpool on the other hand are nothing short of a joke.

I agree, he's just an English Kenwynne Jones, and Stoke only paid 8m for him.

Carroll is class. But Liverpool have nobody that can cross, so just hoofed it from CB, never going to work! Especially when he had a fat Cole or a perma offside Kuyt to flick to. Square pegs in round holes. Carroll doesn't fit their system one bit.

    hes not class.....

hes potentially class but will fade away into nothingness at liverpool.

Should of stayed at toon, done a year or 2 in the prem got used to it and moved to a club then or simply stayed put. Guy could of become another legend but he will become just some lanky player with a pony tail........

I think anyone would put up a better fight than the dippers did. 0-0 at home against a team that Arsenal put six past? Embarrassing...

Nah, we were poor yesterday, not at the races.

Dont be making excuses because we are beating you every season now and it is killing you. oh dear, I thought Guinness was dark and bitter.

not every visiting team will defend like Marseille, every year united get the easy french tie in the CL.

We'll see hwta heppens when the arse falls out of yer season, def not winning the CL and maybe not the prem, we'll se when you have nothing, and we'll watch you blame the refs again like last year. Pathetic as Keano put it, prawn sandwich brigadiers

Apart from us deservedly beating you twice at home this season. Such short memories.

As for Marseille's defence, they conceded only three goals in the group stage - only United and Real Madrid had better defensive records. They just couldn't handle Chicarito's pace and movement. Braga conceded 11 by way of a contrast...and couldn't handle Marouane Chamakh's pace and movement...

excuse me swarbs, but you deservedly beat us twice at old trafford? come on mate the cup game was a never penalty result and the league game you were 2 up but pulled you back to 2-2.i believe the game at anfield when we won was more a one sided game.

Um, excuse me but aren't Liverpool the most successful club team in English history?

Also, didn't Liverpool just humiliate Manchester United at Anfield?

    Regards

Mr Nice - From Russia (no need for anyone to know that, just thought I'd let you know)

    Utd 3-2 Liverpool
54% possession to Utd, and 7 shots on target, versus 1 for Liverpool

    Utd 1-0 Liverpool
58% possession to Utd, and 10 shots on target, versus 5 for Liverpool

I'd say we deserved to win both of those. The penalty in the FA Cup was a pretty soft penalty (although there was clear contact between Agger and Berbatov), but then we could have also had penalties for the fouls on Giggs and Evans. The Evans one in particular was an open and shut penalty - wrestled to the ground from behind - so you guys got decisions in your favour in that match as well.

I fully agree that the game at Anfield was the most one sided of the lot, but the fact remains that we have still beaten you twice this season, which hardly represents you "killing us".

    Dippers 18 league, 7 FA, 7 League cup = 32
    UTD 18 league, 11 FA, 4 League cup = 33
So UTD are the most successful in domestic league
Dippers are more successful in Europe

So UTD win as we are not deluded

Maybe next year is your year
