So Paolo you've smashed the curse of the mags. You followed it up with destroying the Everton curse and now looms the third curse. The curse of Monday night football. We haven't won in 16 games on a Monday night. Going back to 2002. Step forward the curse buster............

Would be nice mate, we don't do well on the telly at all but, when we do get it right we tend to hump teams. Hopefully we can get a result on Monday (a draw would be fine for me) and, keep the points total clicking over.

This! Decent performance and a point would make me happy. No complacency because we're playing someone below us. Step it up

If he wins 3 on the belt; defeating a couple of bogey teams along the way; putting in one of our best performances ever live on the Sky games AND wins on a Monday night on Sky as well, he really will be able to walk on water.

I think we will go there to win the game not just to get something but of course, a point would be a great result especially against a team below us.

They have to win, end of, so they will have to gamble everything and that will be to our advantage imo as they game progresses.

Its amazing but games cant come quick enough at the moment.

Yes, agree with all of the above, looking forward to it, even if it is a defeat at least we now know they will have given their all. Personally I think Villa could be in for a shock 5-0 with DAnyy GRAHAM FIRST GSCORER

After the heroics of the last two fixtures, it really is asking a lot for a third win on the tort, and it being away. Even if it 'only' Villa.

An alternative view- suppose we lose, will that effectively relegate Wigan? Always want a win but we can't lose even if we do. Win win- down to the last two games.

We have a good record there and I think most would take a draw. It stops Villa closing the gap on us with two winnable but by no means easy home games. I watched Villa against united. Now we are no united but I thought Villa rather like us under O'Neill are slow and ponderous in the final third. If we keep them quiet for 20 minutes will their fans get restless? I think this will be a good game and with Paolo I want to say win, niggle in the back of my mind saying we are going to bump back down to earth. Yet also think a win will be safety. Gotta go for it.
