Yet another match where we dominate but the finishing was ****e. Lets hope they finally realise that we have not got anyone who can put the ball in the net and get a striker in when the loan period starts.:emoticon-0149-no:

It's OK though because Fryatt is a natural goalscorer, he's scored 8 goals this season, even if most of them were more down to goalkeeping errors than good finishing, he's got 8 goals so he will definitely start scoring again soon. His crap finishing is ignorable because he's scored 8 goals so he must have quality. It doesn't matter that, apart from a penalty, he hasn't come close to scoring in about 3 months.

He had two great chances today; first half in the box the defence let him off needing a crazy number of touches but he still puts it wide, second half almost on the goal line he's in the perfect position to volley it home, if he gets any firm contact it's a goal from that distance, straight in the roof of the net, but he scuffs it making sure the defender has plenty of time to block it on the line and clear.

The guy lets us down time after time after time in front of goal, I've been saying it for months and he's done nothing over those months to give me the impressione he's going to start scoring.

NB should have taken Fryatt off for King and let him play down the middle and not on the wing.

Also what was up with Stewart?? I think another then a couple of chances he had a very poor game.

Who was booing also? I was in the west upper and didn't hear any boos

I didn't think King looked anything like decent when he came on, he didn't look like he could trap a bag of cement.

Suppose we have to give the lad a chance but on first glance he doesn't look like he will be our goalscoring saviour

As I said in my post, he's pissed me off for ages and I've been criticised on this board for months for not rating him. Until recently he was seen as one of our more 'quality' players by most of our fans.

Why all the panic ? Up to 5th and yes it should have been 4th. Look at the results all season and there is no gimme gimme games really. The team play is superb but agree the end product not as good as it should be. Hull City should be upwards 60pts already but then again other teams can say the same. Its an exciting league and will go down to the wire. Maybe the best idea now is to get DEANO into the KC after his re-hab and take over the coaching of the strikers. Cheap option for one thing. But maybe the loan window is what NB has been waiting for. He did say to Burnsie after the game last night that it was HIS decision not to spend. As he knows all to well spending money is no guarantee what-so-ever.

Let's hope that neither Stewart, King or Fryatt are reading this thread, otherwise they're probably thinking................'what a bunch of kcunts!'

It is evident to just about everyone that our 'goals for' record this season is not what we would like it to be, slating a young lad whose played less than a handful of games for us, another who has recently come back from a long term injury, and a striker low on confidence is hardly gonna change the shape of things, but if it makes you feel better, carry on!

Forgive me if I am wrong but I was under the impression that this was a football forum where everyone is allowed to have an opinion. If you weren't performing your job well you would be replaced. Fryatt and McClean have not performed well for most of the season which is why most of the teams above us, and quite a few below, have a better goal difference than we have.

i,d like to get paid 10 grand a week to kick the roundey thing into the long netty thing, but other than that, just run around with me mates and get paid any way, i,d try my best and hopefully catch the odd goalie asleep and then that gobby bloke with the microphone thingy might shout my name out, that would be awesome...

anyone got NBs number, i,ll drive meself to portsmouth to play.

Sorry but FINALLY someone who agrees with me! He had a chance to score the other night from a decent angle; and ran outside the box! I know Man Utd. youngsters have worked out for us in the past; but it's time to actually spend some of the money the Allam's have on a proven goalscorer and/or a big man to play upfront with Fryatt/Simpson/McLean. I'm not doubting King will be good in the future; but I get the horrible feeling this is just going to be another version of Hope Akpan/David Amoo. I think Rob Hulse would be an alright signing on loan for us to be honest; someone who's scored goals and is a pain in the arse for defenders.

Now that qpr have a few more strikers. I think we should go for Heider Helguson on loan.

They've got 2 more strikers, prior to the game last night he's been a regular in their side and is their top scorer. Against Villa he was either injured (got subbed at half time at the weekend) or just rested (he's had injury problems in the past and struggled with long runs of games), because there's no way Hulse and Balanta would have been in the squad ahead of him normally. There's more chance of Bothroyd or Campbell being available.
