Went to the game yesterday (sat with the home fans to the left of the Norwich supporters unfortunately) and wanted to list a couple of highlights for me:

1. Ryan Bennett – Thought he was excellent throughout. He has in my opinion, an excellent ‘football head’ and gets in excellent positions defensively. A couple of one-on-one incidents he handled really well

2. 2 big men up front – Spurs just couldn’t deal with them and the majority of goal kicks from Ruddy were laid off by either Holt or Wilbraham.

3. Elliott Bennett – I am a big fan of his anyway but:
a. The ground he covers back tracking to help in defence is amazing
b. The obvious goal – so pleased he’s scored and what a goal it was
c. In the last 10 minutes of the game, he was tracking down the left wing and cut back and played an amazing long pass to someone can anyone remember who it was?) on the opposite side of the field – I could watch that all day

4. Ruddy’s save – Enough said on that one

5. General Team Work – Everyone seems to gel so well and the team works for each other, whoever is playing.

6. The supporters – I was muted sitting in with the home fans but wow did the away fans do an amazing job of supporting. I liked the Morison chants

7. Spurs Fans – Most of them I spoke to or overheard talking were full of praise on how well we played which is nice

8. My mate put a £2 bet on Bennett scoring first in the second half and won 134 quid!
All in all a really good day.

i too was in the home end, courtesy of a spurs friend of mine. not only did he say the away faithful were the best to visit the lane this year, he also said norwich were the best team he'd seen play spurs this season. admittedly, he didn't go to either game they lost against citeh and united but i still took the praise with a big beaming smile! :D
