Right, now we have finished feeling sorry for ourselves and stopped lashing out at the first person to hand, after yesterday's match, can we look at our achievements this season (so far), where we are now (and where we thought we would be, at the beginning of this season0, what we expect from the remainder of the season, and, finally, what we think will be the outcome of next season?

    Me, personally?
To have been able to off-load the amount of "naff" players we have to other "mugs", and, actually have young players with potential, and, with a sell-on value is beyond belief. New owners that actually (appear to) want the Club to be well run, and, to be sustainable for the future, with a plan for the Club.
After the mess we were left in last season, mid-table was all I hoped for, but, to still have a wafer thin chance of a play-off slot is an amazing position to be in!
I want the club to perform to the best of it's ability on the field, and, to try and get a play-off slot!
If, as I believe will happen, we fail in promotion this season, I would like to see 2 new keepers, 1 right back, 1 left back, 2 central defenders, and a couple of strikers, in during the closed season. We can then aim for play-off's at least, but, automatic promotion given a full year of a steady helmsman!
Maybe a bit much to ask, considering we don't know who are going up, and, who are coming down, but I think we have the right people in charge at the club, with the right attitude. :emoticon-0103-cool:

its not just a knee jerk reaction from yesterday for some people, we have been f***ing awful for every home game, apart from 30 minutes against leeds..
i understand why people are frustrated, i go away too, so have seen a fair share of good results, but some people only go to home games, and have barely seen anything worth shouting about all season..

Do you honestly want a whole new defence and a new strike force, but no midfielders?? What is wrong with Rosenior at right back and Fryatt and Mclean up front??

We need more adept competition in these areas of the squad We have enough mid fielders that we should be able to churn out results from!

So you would be happy with seeing Harper being the main choice?

I can see why home only fans would be pissed off, they've had little to cheer about this season.

I'm fortunate that like dj, I attend most away games and we've had some seriously good days out(particularly after the final 18 months of pain in the Premier League).

We aren't good enough at the moment, but considering how badly we started, things have dramatically improved. Pearson should be given the summer to show what a full Pearson squad can do, if we still look too defensive, then he will rightly be given some grief. I suspect he won't be, I've seen enough to convince me that he knows a good player when he sees one and we'll be a different proposition next season.

    Upwards and onwards.

Stewart won't replace Harper though when he returns, they're in different positions!!
