All our troubles seemed so far away but now it looks as though he's here to stay, oh how I long for yesterday.
Yesterday is sadly the most optimistic I've felt this season, i thought the axe would fall and the board would finally see what us fans have for months and months. It simply had to be yesterday!
Sack Bruce put Ball in charge for Wolves and hope for a reaction from the players. Appoint the new man in time for Blackburn and the Stadium would be packed and rocking with the best atmosphere in years I have no doubt.
What now though? Bruce will carry on and I fear will will sink further and further to the point where a) the man who would take the job now would no longer fancy it (b) When they do act it'll just be too late for the new man to drag us out of it.
I have a feeling we will point to yesterday as the day the powers that be failed to act and do what is necessary to save our top flight status.
I know games weeks and weeks down the line are hard to predict but I've done the predictor up to 19 games, the half way point and I have us languishing 19th on 12 points. I honestly can't see where the points are coming from with Bruce at the helm, these 4 games were supposed to be the kick start and we were talking 7 points minimum hopes were for 10. With the players we have I don't think thatwas unrealistic. The reality is though 1 from 6 so far and I don't see more than 1 point from the next two either. After that we have two difficult trips to London and then we come to our usual "slump" period. Heaven forbid.
Trying to keep the faith and be positive for Wolves but I think relations between the club and fans are becoming as fractured as they have been for years. Are they listening? Do they care? Am I having my season ticket seat moved next season to accommodate 25 Peterborough fans in the north stand?
Bruce out or we are out of the Premier league, simple as that.
