Am I the only one who wants Estonia to go through? Nowt against the Irish but it would be good if one of the real 'minows' got through.

 

Pleased for Ireland. Have to say if the shoe was on the other foot though the Irish people I know would be wishing Portugal on us. With both legs in Portugal!! The Celtics don't have much love for our great nation. I think there was some karma at work after France! They certainly did not want Bosnia and Herzegovina. They looked a really tidy side the other night and Dzeko is just awesome.

Really pleased for Trappatoni as well. Like Capello he gets plenty stick, but he has done a cracking job with Ireland and is a first class manager. He also likes to provide some very unusual quotes and little sayings a la Cantona. I like a character.

 

He also expressed the hope that Ireland would be drawn to play their home game second, something that would have come automatically under the system that prevailed two years ago when France, as the seeded team, got to take Trapattoni’s side back to Paris after their visit to Croke Park.

It's unlucky for Montenegro, they deserve to be in the finals instead of us. It was mint when they equalised against us. You would have thought they won the European championships the way they celebrated. Best of luck to them. I hope Ireland get through as well.
