what a ****ing second half, brilliant pressure, brilliant play and a superb second half showing. UP THE ****ING MIGHTY POTTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Yes we werent the best but we are still work in progress, A lot of negative people on here but me I am feeling ****ing brilliant after that game.
Me too Ric see my post on the other thread.... I enjoyed it far far, more than I ever did under you know who. At least MH was honest 1st half????? but what a difference 2nd half eh Ric. BOOM BOOM!!!
Negative: Ryan was awful in the first half. He gave away the goal in exactly the same fashion as when playing for England. And what the hell was he doing in the right back position? Positive: Erik Pieters is a great prospect. The way he was running the ball from his left back position down the wing was a delight to see. It looks as though he will prove to be one of our better signings.
Moels...much as we love Ryan, that's why he is not an England player...outhought and (worryingly) outmuscled. Love him to bits though
Well I thought we were poor after the first 20 minutes. The first 20 minutes Palace had little amount of the possession but after that Palace had more confidence and the better of the play for the rest of the half. In the second half Stoke really took the game over and we deserved the win. I thought that Crouch should have scored from the cross from Matty after a good interchange with Adam. The second effort from Crouch, when the keeper touched onto the bar, it was a great effort from Crouch. In the second half from a corner Crouch was on his own and headed it sideways instead of the goal which, I thought was most disappointing. Also I considered that Pieters was doing well at LB and especially in the second half applying pressure to the Palace defence. In the first half my view Shawcross and Huth were really shaky. In conclusion I would say that en route south Palace fans on 5 Live were ranting that they should have won! So there was a Stokie on there who defended us! Cheers
