... will people leave before the end, on Saturday, considering it will finish before it would normally start? Is it fair, once a season, to expect people to stay and show their appreciation to a very young squad of players? Would a full house, and rousing reception, give them a boost before the playoffs? Has 'beating the traffic' become ingrained in people's minds and more important than their team? What do people do, with their time, when they've beaten the traffic and arrived home thirty minutes earlier? Do they feel superior to those who saw the entire game and will arrive home after them? Will people leave Wembley early if we win and are promoted? And yes, I know there's more than one question!
As long as my dad is OK I'll be staying to show my appreciation. It's a weekend I have the bairns but I've arranged cover to allow for it. Despite a frustrating season at times the squad and coaches have done an incredible job on the whole. I've mentioned a few times that early kick offs are a nightmare for me when I have the kids. They have 4 clubs on a Saturday which makes it impossible at times!
As always I will be there to the end. I have never left early in any game I have been to for getting on 50 years
I will be there at the end. I would imagine the team will also be walking round the pitch thanking us for their support. I will be there for that as well. On a purely selfish note I hope some do go early and then I can get out and get back to the pub sooner
Admittedly I’ve only been to five games in the last 18 years mind but when I did attend regularly I wouldn’t dream of leaving early.
Bloody deserve it the amount of rubbish I have seen and the fact my raised blood pressure has taken years of my life!!!
Yeah, they deserve the applause and it’s a good chance to give them a good send off into the play offs, only time I’ve not stayed back was sheff wed last season stayed until the final whistle but couldn’t have got out of there faster after that, polar opposite this season
I will be there for the lap of honour, the lads deserve it. Just hope the coach park stewards don't **** up and raise the barriers early like last year and make the coaches leave before people get back to them.
I left with my Dad in 1964 at Old Trafford when we were 3-1 up…. when we put the radio on we were 3-3…… never gone out the ground early since!
Never left early, never will, it will be a pleasure to applaud this young squad and the management team all the way up to Speakman (I don’t count KLD as management). Whatever happens afterwards is a bonus, getting into the playoffs with several games to spare was an achievement in itself. Can’t wait
Every single game I’ve attended I’ve always stayed to the end. There’s nowt better than cheering the lads off the pitch after a win or a well earned draw. Got to admit that I have booed, but ONLY when the performance had been abject. Bart
It’s also the ones who head for the bar after 35 minutes, and missing the 1st 5-10 mins of the 2nd half. I just don’t get it. Bart
Till the end as always. The Lads deserve our appreciation this season. I hope there is a great atmosphere on Saturday to get he lads revved up to demolish QPR and our eventual March to glory at Wembley. Haway the lads.
