Just read that Levy wants £5,000,000,I'd take a chance at that price

Who is to say in the current market. My first thought was that's a couple of million to much and we'd probably get a very solid right back from abroad, for that price. I'm not going to deny I'm not his biggest fan, he did improve towards the end of last season, but not enough imo. He doesn't read the game, I don't think he has a football brain. Always susceptible to be getting caught out of position and never gets tight enough to his man.

If he's for back up and that's the going rate now, then yeah I'd have him.

As back up yes. He did improve towards the end of last season as he got more game time and he got more game because the alternatives were shocking.

If it`s Levy doing the selling £5m is guaranteed to be too much.

I just wouldnt deal with Levy end of.
If we must deal with him offer £2.5 mill most. 24 hrs to give an answer or walk away. The man is a c*nt.

He wont ever get in Spurs team so is he worth £5 mil?

Tottenham's DeAndre Yedlin on loan at Sunderland

According to the Daily Star, Tottenham want £5m plus add-ons for right back DeAndre Yedlin - and that's a deal Sunderland are so far reluctant to accept.

Yedlin, 22, burst onto the scene with the United States national team at the 2014 World Cup, and shortly after the tournament, he left the Seattle Sounders in order to join Tottenham, before immediately being loaned back to Seattle until January 2015.

'Plus add-ons' **** right off. It's still debatable whether he's even good enough to be a premier league player.

I get that if add-ons are activated then that's generally a sign the player has done well, but still...

Depends how big your budget is. If it's £100m then he could be a decent option to have, but if it's £30m then I'd tell them to ram it and go for somebody better, for that kind of money.

    True.

£5m is nothing for a right back who knows the club and the premier league and looked every bit a £5m player towards the end of the season (IMO).

By the prices being bandied about, £5m is probably about right

Levy paid £3.5m for Trippier, £2.5m/$4m for Yedlin. Would Trippier fetch £5m today? Assuming the Yedlin deal was done in dollars, that's £3m today. He has improved quite a bit. £4m sounds about right. If his next loan is less successful than the last, they won't get £3m for him, and he'll be in the last year of his contract.

If Sam buys him at that price then it's good enough for me, he has watched him longer than me.

I wouldn't complain too much at 5 mil, it's the upper end of what he's currently worth but it's still fair. I imagine he would continue to improve with us so if we did want to sell at any point we should at least get our money back.

Not going to argue with a single word of this.

He improved, but so did everyone else under Sam.

If he's our first choice RB this season I'll be slightly disappointed.

Think this is it. He's 22. Not many full backs (players?) are the finished article at 22. He's improved (as said before so did many others) as the season went on. If he keeps on improving then he'll be a 10m prayer in a couple of seasons and only mid 20's hitting his prime. All good. £5m is a decent investment IMO.

I'd get him here as he kno w s our system and club set-up , our passionate support and he'll only improve - last season was his first in the English league and he was raw - if BSA wants him we should get him -he knows the score with defenders better than we do :emoticon-0148-yes:
-Levy is another matter tho' .... <steam>
