    We tried to sign Kaboul in addition to Chimbonda, Malbranque and Tainio

    Kaboul's agent said something along the lines of "it would take an earthquake for Kaboul to sign for Sunderland"

    Then pictures came out of him with the Portsmouth manager Harry Redknap at a London casino. And Kaboul signed fir Portsmouth soon afterwards. All above board and not in anyway suspicious, I believe.....
