Don't know if this has been mentioned but having watched it back from different angles it was definitely meant to be a cross to the back post.

    Jammy ****ers!!!

Maybe, maybe not. It just goes to show though that if you even try to get it into the danger area what can happen.

Must admit at the time I thought he had overhit the cross then saw the net bulge - whether he meant it or not its history now so onto the weekend

I think it was a cross based on the fact that there were a couple of City players near there and if it was a shot it was very unorthodox, also I've scored a couple of very similar goals which were both supposed to be crosses so I know how it goes.

Reminded me of Johnson's goal against us when he still played for City, like Toure he made out it was intentional but I never bought that.

Toure is definitely capable of scoring from there but I think the one in the final was a fluke. That's life I guess.

    I did!

    :p

Definitely a cross 100%. he didn't even look up, he just whipped it to the back post, over hit it massively. The media took all the shine off Nasri's and Borini's which were better as they were actually intended.

You're the 1st person who has said this and this is what I was thinking also.

No way was it meant to be anything other than a cross

if he meant that as a shot for goal it was one of the best seen at wembley,it was imo knocked in to the two city players coming in from that side on the back post,of course he will say he intended it but hes just not that good .

Just think it was a shame for Nasri, way better goal yet it's grouped with a fluke.

Did you see the bend on Nasri's goal considering it was struck so close to the goal, amazing!

Bollocks it was a wonder goal. Fully intended it. Reminded me of one Gerrard scored for Liverpool a few years back away at Marseille I think.

One of the greatest goals a Wembley final has ever seen. Nasri's wasn't far off either!

He didn't even look up to pick his spot or check the keepers position, it's even struck like a cross. No way it was intended imo. Nasri's goal wipes the floor for me like.

i'm undecided if you look at the footage a second or 2 before the ball is played to him he does look up whether this is to see where the keeper is or where his attackers are i don't know but he does look up.

    I think Toure was shooting

Nasri's was a bit of a shinner, great goal none the less

Both could try and score those goals again several times and fail imo, and on another day we'd have won

But goalkeepers do. It's called picking your spot.
