With Gerrard leaving and us having no 'world class' players would Yaya be what we need?

It would give Can great experience in how to burst through with the ball which he does a lot and Yaya would be given the main man tag which I'm sure he wants.

Wages and age would be an issue, also the fact Man City wouldn't want to sell to us, but it would make our midfield so much better and give fans belief we can still attract the very best.

Wouldn't want Toure anywhere near this club. We've already got our 'world class' yet lazy and immensely over rated star in Balotelli.

City will be looking to rebuild, Sterling is not the player for that.

I do not think there are enough cake shops in Liverpool to satisfy his birthday ego. Plus if you have watched him this season you will know why citeh are not keen on keeping him. Lazy Batard

He's class when on form but too often is a passenger, I don't like that kind of player.

You'd be looking at another Gerrard situation. Similar position similar problems. A great mf in his day but has become a defensive liability and unable to influence attacks like he used to. You'd literally be replacing gerrard of this season with gerrard mkII of this season.

Yaya is good if you have quality players behind him doing all the defensive duties. Problem is, we don't have a quality DM. I suppose a DM and Can behind Yaya could be immense.

    No no no no

    Have you learned nothing

Yaya is a rapidly fading star and it is our eternal misfortune or faded star ran into his last good season and slipped over

  20. This is where I find your opinions on what is best for our club amazing. You constantly say we're aiming at the wrong, expensive and poor quality market and that we should be focusing on X, Y or Z. You completely right off Milner as expensive (despite being free) and a aging has been but then support (albeit, not extensively) the idea of signing someone like Yaya Toure who would not only cost us a fortune in wages, he'd also cost us a fee and he is a aging/fading as quick as Gerrard has been over the last couple of years, add the Balotelli level of laziness to the equation too and I find it truly mind boggling what goes on in your head <laugh> The only thing it comes back to is the name, Toure isn't English whereas Milner is!
