The fail is reporting City are in talks with Danns (as are Leciester, TWS, southampton and some other unnamed clubs).

If you go by the saying 'Hull isn't at the end of the earth, but you can see it from there' then we all know where that leaves Withernsea :p

Withernsea reminds me of Summerisle, that Island from "The Wicker Man"

Everyone's inbred and they treat you like you've just dropped out of the sky.

I watched the Nick Cage remake the other day, what a shocker of a film that is.

I wouldn't dare. It should never have been touched.

Edit: Funny that you should mention Cage, he's getting a bit of a pasting on General Chat from Michiel De Ruytier for his **** acting skills.

Nicholas Cage films are generally quite bad anyway.

Who plays Lord Summerisle in the remake?

Cage films are generally poor, I never understood how he gets as much work as he does, he over-plays everything.

In the remake the island is run by Sister Summersisle, played by Ellen Burstyn.

Hate when they remake films and completely change the characters. We don't need all this modern twist bollox. If a film is good it'll still be liked in decades to come and the Wicker Man is a cult classic.

Also there's loads of actors in Hollywood like that though. People like Ben Afleck. Remember South Park raging him for having an arse for face.

Anyway back to City there's not much in that story in HDM. Just more speculation. I just hope the money is right and he's worth it if he does come here.

Aye well Kubrik's films are always being ripped off in television.

Which is your favourite? A Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket for me, but there's too many classics to mention- Space Odessy, the Shining, Strangelove.

I agree OLM. Remakes are generally poor, but this remake is truly appalling.

I suspect that Cage keeps getting roles because he is an Oscar winning actor (although I do find Con Air entertaining in a "switch-brain-off-and-watch" kind of way.

A bit like Emile Heskey living off 3/4 good performances in his entire career. <ok>
