Man of the match today for Palarse.

Couldn't get into our side - whilst we were on the slide and REALLY needed some abililty - other than a like-for-like replacement for Albert (a left-winger a sub for a right-winger?!!!)

I always rated him - and for Barnett the gaffer there played them where they should have been played - opposite wingers and best mates - they were OURS FFS and we squandered the pair of them.

Even F-ing PITMAN still plays in the Championship - possibly the PREM soon - WHY DO WE KEEP DOING THIS???????

Right now neither Yannick, Albert or Pitman would look twice at us - but we DID have all of them - and only Albert was really rated - now the lowest placed of all 3. I never really rated Pitman TBH but he has done better than we have as a club.

Frustrating - but fair play to Yannick. Top player. My sort of winger and how I tried (in vain) to play myself. Also liked Warnocks comments too.

Agree to some extent, but they are players most clubs can't afford as they Albert and Yannick were both huge liabilities. Crystal Palace will likely go down this season in my opinion and its partly due to players like Yannick. He had a good day today, but there are so so many occassions I have seen him lose the ball in silly places, doing silly things and not tracking back.

I would say 25% to 30% of his trickery and runs work, but thats not enough in professional football. Albert was someone I loved having, but I think he is at his level at Championship, not better, not worse. But he is not a prem player. If Bournemouth EVER get lucky and make it to the promised land, Pitman will be replaced in an instant by a bigger name as I think he is a lower half champ team level realistically.

You only have to look at us to see that teams dont sustain a good bit of fortune/luck. So the players mentioned on this thread are dimly lit stars amongst some utter dross, lead by inadequacy.

Bolaise turning out the way he did was just pure unlucky on our part, when he played he looked clumsy, slow and afraid to run at defences, obviously under Palace he has a great coaching staff and managers who actually knows how to get the best out of decent players (Holloway, Pulis and Warnock, ****ing hell what a horrible bunch)

Pitman leaving wasn't a shock as we had Baldock and Davies playing well, his style of play was always lazy, laid back and he never looked like he gave a ****. But looking back it was one of many mistakes from Mciness.

And Albert was always destined for bigger things.

Hate to say it, but even Kilkenny had a good game Saturday- Still spends a lot of his time running around with the ref but his very first touch of the game went forward

Bolasie may have looked out of place - because he was! He is a naturally left-sided player but only ever came on for Albert. We never played them both at the same time. I'm not sure he ever played a full game for us!

Agree about Pitman - like I said above, I never really rated him personally, but only Davies was scoring for us - Baldock wasn't.

Not sure I totally agree about Albert TBH mate - He is certainly better than we ARE currently, but we were capable of being where Middlesborough are in the table when he played for us back then - only we blew it.
