Reporting from downtown Los Angeles.....like everyone else just very interested to see how the Summer transfer window goes. From what I have read the West Ham lad up front and the Crystal Palace defender seem high on the list of wanted. I know Big Sam wants to make early in roads in the market. He knows it's paramount to get off to a good start which we all do. I think it's sensible to go to Austria in July and use that as a basis of breaking the back of work for preseason. I'm hoping that the majority of the signings can be done by then but Sam is very wily in the market and will wait to see if there is anything last minute that would come up to through a few bob at. Also, in July Martin Bain will be coming on board. It will be interesting to see what sort of profile he is going to take. Byrne was virtually non existent so even an interview with this guy might be a step forward. Hope the dynamic between Sam and Bain works.... Been watching the Copa here.....USA looked poor. Didn't think Yedlin looked that good against Columbia. As a defender he was rushing into the tackle and committing himself. At this level he you can't do that. Hopefully it's all apart of the learning curve for him. Tonights game Mexico v Uruguay was a good one..... Euro's coming up....read all the comments about the squad,,,,but Defoe should be there. If he had been playing for a top team this season it would have been interesting how many goals he would have scored. The lad is just a machine....
