I see that BLM leader that got shot in the head in the UK, the guys that were being held in prison accused of shooting her, the case was dropped against them by the prosecution, insufficient evidence I think. Strange how that has all been quiet too, no protests about that either.
I'm not ruling out racial prejudice for any of it. Not like we're seeing videos of white guys being beaten up, strangled, shot and killed. That's what we'd be having in equal measure if it was just police officers with no sense of judgment wielding power irrespectively. From what I've read the fact the family came out early to ask for calm may have prevented the riots. Or it could simply be the fact black ppl have been here countless times before, the anger which caused the riots in the past has been replaced with resignation that fck all's going to change and are numb to it all. That's for a whole host of reasons and different circumstances, many will be justified. How many are cases where the police officers have been sacked, or faced criminal charges would be more accurate.
I get it, mate. I'm not denying the racial issues over there, but its my sincere belief that cops killing is more to them wanting the feel of murder.
I agree there's more layers to this. The video you posted above of the bloke begging on his knees. I actually agree with the police officer being like that. They have to be tough at times and whether the bloke on his knees is black or white, that cop may have good cause to demonstrate his authority like that. I don't have a problem with this at all, even if the 'perp' is unarmed because the officer's putting his life on the line. Where it crosses the line to disproportionate acts of physical violence or murder, then I want to look more closely who it's happening to and it largely seems to be against black ppl. I'm sure there's an element of power hungry tooled up thugs in uniform who think they can do what they like, but I think that they know where to draw the line with the white population, even those in the deprived areas, which they don't seem to with blacks. It may be subconscious or a mindset, and it may be the attitude they get from certain communities day in day out, and it may be racism.
I've said we'd be seeing equal numbers. In fact we'd be seeing proportionately more reflecting the numbers per population for white as for black, which we aren't.
