I'd be grateful if someone could explain to me why this thread is suitable for the forum when it seems to simply be a rant about an opposition player but a thread about an opposition player being diagnosed with, and thankfully being given the all clear on, cancer was met with a degree of hostility.

Actually couldn't be further from the truth, I hadn't had a pint at all. It was just an, albeit obtuse, slant to the Matth habit of player threads. I do, however, think Toure is a moaning **** who should just stay off Twitter if he can't handle the stick as any fool knows it's populated by complete idiots. He'd be a happy with a cake, that's what makes him tick. Or a card.
This. The racism on Twitter is utterly wrong, but then Toure is just painting a massive target on his back. Everyone knows he will moan about everything, so all the racists will target him as they know he will have a good cry about everything they post. Why would any sane person even bother?
Twitter is a nono for me, just can't be arsed. And by the looks of your comments about it Swarbs, it seems I made the right decision.
But think about it, there is no other platform where you would be able to get UP-TO-THE-MINUTE, REAL-TIME UPDATES of every single brain-fart someone has, regardless of how irrelevant or obtuse the topic is! Oh, hold on...
I got a few United players on facebook, you should see the abuse they get everytime they write a status. Yaya is just playing the victim using the racism card not saying its right but if they know its having an effect they will carry on
Twitter guru and sage, makes sense I agree though... Obviously I don't agree with any of the abuse people get, but sometimes you just know they're making themselves a magnet for that kind of thing. Best to just ignore them...
