In answer to your question Ron, its probably because we still have heart and character to our club and havent sold our soul to be an oil tycoons play thing. Long may it continue too...... I remember the above game.....didnt go but went to the home game earlier that season. We beat them at home too - Micky Simpson penalty in a 1-0 win I think. What was most memorable about that game was that the Gallagher bros where in attendance (I think Noel lived in Chalfont at the time) and some of the chants going their way were brilliant, terrace humour at its best. I also remember Liam throwing a strop when we scored.......ah good times
Can't stand the bloke so I would have enjoyed that more than most. Weren't we the only team to score the double over them that season?
Yeah I think so. That win at the end of the season was massive in terms of us staying up if i remember rightly.
