Such a waste of talent to go to a team like Stoke <doh>

Im not sure if im being deluded in really thinking that he should join NUFC over stoke! The only thing is they would probably be prepared to pay him double what we could

It's a concept I've heard whispered about in exclusive circles called "ambition". It's a strange notion; basically what you do as a club is strive to bring in players who are better than you have, sometimes you even try to go after players who seem to be above your station. Occasionally you bring them in, play better football and achieve more as a result. It's a fascinating concept, but I don't think it'll take off. It's not like Stoke have ever managed to sign anyone of the calibre of, say, Marko Arnautovic.

This is a misconception; our wage bill is the 7th highest. Matey, we sent scouts to watch Tyrone Mings FIFTEEN times last season, and when Ipswich told us they were listening to offers we basically said "not yet - we haven't had our board meeting".

Massive fan of this lad. Worrying how off the ball he has gone since leaving Basel but well worth the risk. Then again I did say the same when we signed HBA and Emre who both turned out to be complete wasters <laugh>

Not sure Shaqiri can cut it in the prem. I used to watch him for Basel, but he never really made the team in bayern, and inter? I think hes too slow. He's stocky as hell.

I think he will cut it. To be honest I would take anyone from bayern at this point. Even their back ups back up sebastian rode would be a star for us. If they manage to have a front 3 for diouf, bojan and shaqiri.... Id be sick watching riviere lead the line.
