Pompey switch their focus from Championship survival to FA Cup progress when they make the trip to Wycombe for a third round contest this evening (7.45pm kick-off). It is the start of a gruelling run of fixtures for John Mousinho's side that sees them play seven games in the space of just 22 days. But they have had longer to recover from the most recent fixture than their next opponents, who were in League One action on Tuesday night. An early volley from Herbie Kane saw them beaten by promotion rivals Huddersfield at Adams Park, despite a late rally from the hosts. They are still sitting second in the standings, though, above Wrexham on goal difference and two points behind leaders Birmingham. Matt Bloomfield's side enjoyed an incredible 11-match winning run in all competitions earlier in the season, although have since tasted success in just three of their past 10 outings. Pompey won both meetings with the Chairboys en route to securing the title last term, with Colby Bishop's brace and a Christian Saydee finish getting the job done in Buckinghamshire. It was Wanderers who came out on top in the only previous FA Cup clash, though, enjoying a 2-1 victory at Fratton Park in November 2016. Please note that replays are no longer used to settle drawn FA Cup ties, with extra-time and penalties used if needed. TEAM NEWS Pompey skipper Marlon Pack is serving a one-match ban after being sent off at Sunderland last Sunday. Harvey Blair (knee), Jacob Farrell (knee) Conor Shaughnessy (calf), Mark O'Mahony (hip), Regan Poole (hamstring) and Kusini Yengi (knee) are all currently sidelined. Summer signing Ibane Bowat is set to miss the the rest of the season with a serious knee issue, but recent loan arrival Rob Atkinson could be handed a first start. Both sides are likely to make several changes to their line-up and former Blues defender Sonny Bradley could feature for the hosts after recently joining on loan from Derby. Wholesale changes (nine) to Pompey's starting line up. A lot of reserve players in, but we do name a fairly strong bench, which includes three Academy kids, being Harry Clout, Michael Ani, and Tayo Singerr (top scorer for the academy this season). Wycombe have Pompey born Matt Butcher in midfield, ex-Pompey centre back Sonny Bradley starting the game, and former Pompey loan player David Wheeler on the bench
Almost 0-1 to Pompey, with a shot cleared off the goal line in the 2nd minute. Paddy Lane left footed shot from the left side of the box is saved in the centre of the goal.
Half time. 2-0 to the Chairboys. We started well with plenty of possession, but that trailed off, and Wycombe have had the majority of chances. Second half subs? How many can you bring on in one go

Not encouraging. Bringing on rested players at half time defies the point of resting them!! Perhaps we have to let the selected players battle it out.
Second half is underway. Pompey have replaced three players - Nico Schmid for Jordan Archer, Ryley Towler for Rob Atkinson, and Andre Dozzell for Freddie Potts.
