Wycombe vs Bristol Rovers (Take 2) - Match thread 1st December

Hi guys

Usually on the gas board we have match threads which start a few days before the game starts for all pre match talk, possible line ups etc etc along with during the match comments and post match comments. 9/10 there is no comments from opposition fans due to many boards being inactive.

As both our boards are more busier than most in our league, we should be able to get a good amount of build up to our upcoming game, which could include our form over the next set of games leading up to our game, good harmless banter, predictions, weather predictions , possible line ups, injuries/suspensions updates etc etc im sure you get what im on about.

So on agreement with your board, feel free to use this as the matchday thread and all pre match build up before and post match after thoughts

We have a few injuries returning now, our player of the season last season is now back so should be near fully match fit by the time we play you.

You guys mentioned you had injuries this season, Any decent players out? Will they be back for our game?

 

Just looked at the long range weather forcast and I'm with Rocky on this one Christmas card weather one thinks. After a cold foggy morning, the game kicks off in bright sunshine, then like lightning Rovers take the lead against a weathered looking Wycombe team, then after some hot footwork by Wycombe winger Bruno Andrade Wycombe storm back to take a 3 - 1 lead by half time Rovers return to the dressing room to a frosty reception from manager Mark McGhee while outside light snow starts to fall. The second half starts in blizzard conditions and after 20 minutes the referee abandons the game to a hail of protest from the home crowd, they say it an ill wind that does no one any good. Long may the weather reign.

3 players back for saturday,McClure,Foster and McCoy wiyh another 4 back in a week including Jo Kuffor.what joy it would be to see him score his first league goal for Wycombe against Rovers.

 

With Logan now gone (good riddance) there will be at least 5 changes from the other game maybe 7 or 8 plus a new manager so things will be different this time around so it should be a

 

And a 3-1 Wycombe win.

Brilliant,just hope the game is a good one and everyone enjoys the day(Wycombe fans the most obviously)and everybody behaves themselves.

 

hows this for bad luck, our player who scored those 2 cracking goals in the 3-1 abandoned game, he got sent off yesterday after getting a straight red and will have a 3 match ban meaning he will miss our match he wont be getting revenge on you lot then

 

And we've let our goalscorer go (that useless lump Logan) only goal he ever scored for us sounds fair to me

 

Confident prediction then 0-0.

we got clarkson and eaves as a doubt for tonights game who are our top scorers. both missed training today. we have 1 of our CB's out suspended tonight and our other CB is a doubt too with injury.

we are away to port vale so im expecting a hammering tonight.
