Wasn't meant to be, I just went on it to look something up and was amazed. Why do you ask?

Just has a look at the entry on Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wycombe_Wanderers ) and agree that it is pretty good. Some improvement could be made around the edit and layout, but the content holds up. I think that a lot of the entries - especially around the early years has been summarised from the book 'Wycombe Wanderers 1887-1996 Official History' by Dave Finch & Steve Peart.

It is interesting to see the stats on the page for average attendances over the years since we have been in the league (assuming that they are correct) - there is this myth that during the Martin O'Neill days the attendences were significantly up on where we are today at around 6,500 - 7,000 - this does not appear to be the case and for the early years in the league were not significantly higher that they have been over the last three seasons. In fact the only seasons where the average exceeded 6,000 were 2001/2 and 2002/3 which followed the famous cup run. OK average gates this season so far are around 25 - 30% down on that.. but the bigger concern is actually how much of a regular following could we expect to attract ?

I'm sure we had bigger gates when we were high flying in the Isthmian League, particularly when we had League teams in the FA Cup (eg Middlesbrough top of Division 1, now called the Premier). I suspect that was down to 2 main factors, although I wouldn't like guess in which order:
    - ground within walking distance of town centre
    - fickle younger generation who prefer to associate themselves with premiership clubs, even though they have no real connection.

I should clarify that I don't see anything wrong with the content. The content is all accurate. The big wall of text with barely any subheadings makes it incomprehensible.

Of course, instead of moaning about it on here, I could just go do something about it. Daunting task, with that much to sort through though.
