WUM and banter. Any difference really?

So the actions of a few affect the pleasure of many. The "trial" of the SAFC Mag FREE postings just seems a completely over the top reaction to people not liking what they're reading from rival supporters.

If there was ever a role for moderators ( who volunteer their time) , this must be it. So keep on top of it.

I have no objection to Newcastle moderators taking down racist/abusive ****e from ANY poster.

The key is this . There will always be WUMs. Not606 isn't going to change that. But come on fellas, if the Toon was going through a rough patch , we'd have tons of WUMs/banter from SAFC fans. So what. One mans banter is another mans WUM.

Some of the Brucie stuff is the funniest around and you'd do the same with AP if roles were reversed.

This is a multi posting forum and if you can't stand the heat, then post elsewhere. There are tons of solo club forums/sites you can be on safe in the knowledge no-one will be interested in your club but you.

It would be better that those fans who are easily upset just go and do exactly that. The rest of us can have the craic and banter we've had for years and so long as we're both in the EPL then those derby days will be the most important games of the year.

Smothering free speech never achieved anything. Try your Mag FREE trial by all means but here's hoping you see sense.

Sure there is holystone if one is dishing it out it is banter and if one is receiving it it's WUM. It's the same on both boards.

Honestly I think banter only works if it's between friends or if it's from someone who has demonstrated themselves to be a genuine guy over a period of time.

 

Agree completely but just leave them to it though. However they choose to dress it up, all it suggests is that they can't take what they dish out and if that's the image they want to convey to the rest of the country's fans then fair enough.

It's pathetic, removing a perfectly valid point just because a geordie's posted it, it's not our fault if a bunch of them respond to it with "**** off maggy ****" etc, it's them ruining their threads for the main part, not us. But i dont go on their board (except for today to have a good laugh at them) so i dont care.

 

I'm not sure if they are Geordies or not, but what is causing the problem is a handful of Mags who post on virtually every single SAFC thread, which inevitably turns them into abusive slanging matches...I'm sure if the same thing happened the other way round, some of your fans would complain about it and want it stopped.

 

Maybe, maybe not. It's irrelevant though, because what you are implementing is a system of removing all geordie posts regardless of content

It's got nowt to do with being a Geordie, because a large proportion of SAFC fans, and posters on here for that matter, are from South Tyneside and are therefore Geordies...It's all about a handful of Mags, not sure about them being Geordies or not, who are disrupting every single Sunderland thread..

 

On the rare occasions that I have posted wind-ups on your board, the answer is yes, I have had my posts deleted.

 

like i said you can't get all Holier than thou with some of the wumming you've done in the past,but as you seem to have become Holier than thou when the **** hits the fan on our site i'd expect yourself and a few other "monks" will refrain from popping over and having an opinion

The reason that I stopped posting on your board had nothing to do with results, but because I had some perfectly legitimate posts removed by your mods..
