Manager I am open minded on the manager we get, I and no one on here is qualified to say who we should appoint but some have an idea on their personal preferences … My only hope is that the board do not throw away the last 4 and a half years … the club has come on in 1 massive leap, bit like going from using stone / copper tools to the industrial revolution …..
TEAM CONSIDERING Lee had "only some input" into who comes and who goes anything but the odd transfer out and maybe 2/3 coming in would exonerate Lee to a degree.MA et al having brought them in!

    Transfer rumours
there are a few surrounding … Eliason, Fammy and maybe Semenyo and a couple other rumours surrounding academy players that were out on loan...

    2020 /2021 …
MY hope is we do progress not much to progress from 12th … although looking back over history [ championship ] a number of teams follow the same pattern as CITY have a stumble but keep the manager and go on to better things!!!
I hope we do not go into a rebuild situation ….

Manager - Would have liked the prestige, passion, connections, and sheer kudos that Steven Gerrard would have brought us, but it would still have been a huge HUGE risk bringing him at our level than he knows little or nothing about. I will back whoever is appointed as Manager, providing the club demonstrates a real desire to move forward in search of top flight football, or the appointment has achieved previous success at this level by gaining promotion.

Team - New goalkeeper, new midfield and more options elsewhere are needed. I think 4-5 coming in would be the minimum needed.

Transfer Rumours - If we are offered the going rate or better for any of our players and they want to leave us to better themselves on or off the pitch, then fair play to them and let them go.

2020/2021 - For me, the barest minimum has to be an improvement on the 12th place we've just finished in, followed by further substantial progress the following season. Like you, I hope a full rebuild and more time spent on stupid ideas isn't the end game here, but it's not in our hands.

I honestly don't think we need too many new players if a competent manager comes in and actually uses the squad properly.

Get Taylor Moore, Liam Walsh and Joe Morrell back, they could be like new signings straight away. With hem back, inn terms of holes in the squad, I think we could use another striker and perhaps a holding midfielder, and that's about it. We have so much more to come from the current squad imo.

We need a midfield general (or commanding centre half) - an enforcer - to keep the opposition AND our own players in line.
Happy with the actual skills of our wingers but they are lightweight and get overrun.

I said before in an earlier post, a new manager can change players. It's exactly what Warnock manages to do every time.

You never know, we might have these players at our club and not yet realise it. And with the amount of recruitment we've done, you never know.

LOSING £8M for the loss of 5 games means our match turn over is £1.6m = to £37m plus any cup money … bearing in mind players and staff took a hit and or a deferral Annual "games income" must exceed £40m?

will be a shame should we get rid of potential future stars for nowt or the odd peanut!
apparently today Friday has been quite busy .. with an apparent problem in the transfer market being that the new head coach might not want those players lined up! And is no means certain who may replace LJ, AS THE IN COMING ...should there be one needs to be happy with "head coach" and not want to have a clean out and refresh … BCFC has built up a family atmosphere over the past few years and wants to maintain that inside and outside the club!!

great care is needed, apparently, that they do not spoil the good work to date by going back 5 and a half years ! wasting 2 or 3 before returning to what was 4 and half years ago!

it is possible 14 of those on books at the moment will not figure in 20/21 squad ……

fammy and niclas are holding back until they approve of the new manager
there appears to be a plan that the new head coach will have limited funds in 2020/21 may none to buy in and any, whilst sales will be money in the kitty for a rainy day.

new coach is / maybe expected to make a team around the master plan of using homegrown talent... sticking point with new appointment? ..

todays situation [ contracts appointment ] around getting rid of LJ may become an "I told you so" COVID proved a lot of "erratic results" ….

owners putting in "extra money" could fall foul of FFP .. AND A POINTS /TRANSFER EMBARGO?
POSSIBILTY of 5 loan signings when prem clubs stabilise after all games are plaed at end of this [ extended ] season

    the whisperer ………………….
the plan for the future did not include sacking LJ … THERE IS NOW A RIFT between prospects and board regarding technology squad backroom team [coaching ]. Also status of position head coach/manager ! deep thinking is that continuity should be paramount … looking at major loss for 19/20 as opposed to break even / profit... so cannot take to deep a risk!

with the uncertainty of crowd income next season … and a possible close down of fixtures should the virus rear its ugly head in the next 6 months to Feb 2021 … frugality is the name of the game! me thinks. C OHNO VID!

ITS stalemate at the gate ..rumours abound as all the minor media come up with names [players candidates as they have to fill column inch's ] etc etc. As soon as a manager steps down immediately jumped on as a link to city latest PAUL COOK... could he be the umpteenth guess/rumour that fits the bill?

When you consider that Howe did a good job at a club that really has no history and with attendances barely at 10,000 it's a wonder they got there let alone survive. Sean Dyche is another one from the same mould that would do a good job for us but frankly I think they are beyond our budget and ambition. Whether we like it or not the decision will be made at a level way beyond the supporters wishes and I think we will stick with whatever comes our way. Is the tea lady still out of work?
