There are people on here tonight / today giving us ****! Picking out tactics and individual performances.. We lost tonight, but by Jesus H Christ we gave them one hell of a beating. That is the best defeat we've had in ages. Take anyone of their subs thet bought on... Ballotelli £24m Johnson £20m Toure £16m They alone cost more than our quickly assembled squad. Our most expensive player is Alejandro Faurlin ( £3.5m) This gives us a bit of perspective.. We are small yet beautiful, we are unique, we are QPR, that's why we love us. And together we shall march on, because we personify all that is good in football. We together are very strong, always believe, and never give up, individually every one of us is worth a hundred Chelscum fans, or Foolham fans, and never will we ever entertain a statue of a global *****phile. This is is who we worship, with what we we have right now. We will stay up and fight on, believe this. In Sir Neil we trust, and never doubt, his judgement and his alone shall prevail. We are QPR, we will never back down.
Well said 999, we're coming out of a difficult run of fixtures with a lot of plusses, who would've expected 3 points from the last 3 fixtures and a goal difference of only -2? This could be a defining point of the season. We now know 4-4-2 actually works for us and that Taarabt is not missed at this level, Bothroyd and Helguson look a handful up front and the confidence is rising through the team. And we have Dyer to look forward to returning for another 5 minutes!...
Totally agree. Can't believe the amount of **** that has been posted on here. City were not poor today, we played really well. Created chances and bossed the game in parts. We looked like a proper side today and I for one was proud of my side.
As an aside, Ale Faurlin did not cost £3.5 million, that was just Paladini's ego. However, didn't we pay £4.6 for Anton Ferdinand? I'm sure I read that number somewhere.
Not seen any slagging off Threads yet but your right 999 all should walk away with heads held high here. Great performance from all, including the manager and fans.
999, I've seen a few isolated critical comments, but the overwhelming response has been massively positive, and quite rightly so. Only bad thing about yesterday was the result. Anyone in particular you are gunning for? I hope we are all ignoring that cretin 77.....
He looks like a bargain at the moment either way, but the £2 million is more believable. Which ever way you cut it, the original point holds true, many of their players cost more than our whole squad.
Great post 999 what really gets on my nerves is these teams and pundits always point the finger at a poor performance and NEVER seem to give credit that a team only plays as well as they are allowed to and that is what made the difference.
welcome to our world, Man U,Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and now City can only be beaten if they play badly, never because we mere mortal teams play well. well if you listen to the experts that is, sky, MOTD
Not seen any posts knocking us but then again I have not looked. Thought we were fantastic yesterday. Great team performance esp SWP (once again) and Faurlin who has really grown into the team. Our goals were good as were theirs. Cannot complain and after that performance think we will be just fine. I think City need to say they ‘played bad’ to save a bit of face. They have a top team with great players and in parts of the game we looked better and that was down to our players. 442 is working and we should keep the same team. After the game I went down south (South London) to a pub for a few drinks with friends and could not believe the amount of people talking about QPR and how they wanted us to win, even some nice girls (don’t tell Mrs Ellers) were saying that they liked QPR, Brilliant! WE really have come a long way and our club seems to becoming quite fashionable again. We should all be proud of our team yesterday. This time last year we were playing Reading and the year before we were playing Sheffield Wednesday. I know who I would rather be watching? Some people have short memories. You R’s!
Well said '999. I have a theory that may just explain some of the insane negativity directed at what is our best team and manager in a decade and a half. My brother who conveniently "lost touch" with the Rangers after 1996 has just exploded on the phone to me about what "we" should do to improve the team and how "we" shouldn't be happy with a defeat. The theory is this: A load of fake QPR fans have just crawled out of the woodwork and nailed their colours to the mast now that we are back in the big time. Of course they are not QPR fans at all but actually Premier League fans and they have absolutely no comprehension of where we we've come from and the standard that we've had to play at for the past 15 years. They then feel they have the right to just hop back on the bandwagon and start bitching and moaning that we're not beating the richest and best teams in the world. My brother is one and I'm sure there are thousands more out there that are the same. Its just a theory mind!
i thought we played some great football if we can keep it up i see a few points coming our way no problem
Was a very positive performance yesterday - think 77 needs his eyes examining, as he's obviously not watching the same team as the rest of us. The whole club should be proud of the shift the team put in yesterday against a side who are more than likely to end up champions. Must agree with you Swords, think there are a few newbies jumping onto the bandwagon, relishing in the fact that they can get to point out our teams frailties, without realising how far we've come over the last couple of years - as we all know, we were on the brink of L1 only two years ago and are now going toe-to-toe with some of the best sides in Europe.
Agree with just about everything being said here. I would just throw into the mix that, although the formation was at times 4-4-2, it was a very flexible formation, with SWP, Betty and Mackie interchanging positions and it often became the familiar 4-2-3-1. Whatever though, it worked really well!
I personally thought yesterday was one of the best performance i've seen from our team. I was very very proud to be a Rangers supporter yesterday and it proved how far we have come in such a short time. Last season we were losing badly to Scunthorpe......now we are holding our own against probably one of the best teams in the Country. We are seeing world class players at Loftus Rd such as Aguero, Balotelli and Silva......How anyone can be disheartened by this i really cant fathom.
