its pretty apparent that no one cares about international football until we're at the business end of major tournaments. we should be qualifying without much trouble every time its only a recent nervy thing due to mcclaren that has left everyone a bit nervy around qualiffiers.

Indeed, PNP. The whole point of a forum is that one expects to take in a whole spectrum of views, not merely those of a partisan or "cult" bunch. Part of the problem of this site is that it seems to permit a cultist view of things. I am banned from the LFC board for being nothing more than an intelligent poster who insists on putting them straight on matters that they take exception to. A small number of AFC fans are trying to do the same thing on their board. Once we start out down that route (and we have done that, I'm afraid re my being banned from the LFC board), we are collectively consigning ourselves to the scrap-heap of ignorance and intolerance.
