Back to our ****ty selves once again, WTF is Jewell playing at? Have you not heard the saying 'IF IT AIN'T BROKE THEN DON'T MEND IT' Am mighty pissed off at the moment and as mentioned in earlier post's, Jewell has yet to convince me and i can't see that anyone can defend Jewell here!! Still think we need a change of manager and CEO!!
Even if we win 10-2 now, i will still feel the same, Jewell is sooooooooooo tactically inept it is unreal!!
11 games in a month, midweek game, bring Martin on with 20 minutes left to run at a tiring defence...
Do you not get it? Had we started with our winning formula we would have won this game at a canter!! But no, Jewell thinks we should totally change things, WHY?????
Marrtin being dropped to bench does serve as a timely reminder that Jewell is ****ing useless, can only wonder what would have happened if he had started...!
Quite right boys! We all know that Jewell is a clueless **** and we will never get promoted with him in charge!
As a matter of interest and I know a secure and grounded man like Spanish won't take this the wrong way but how many games does Spanish get to each season?
The timing of the substitutions was coincidental. I thought you were the better team for the whole of the second half, and our second goal was against the run of play.
" Do you not get it? Had we started with our winning formula we would have won this game at a canter!! " Am I missing something here ? Hull have a good home record and the best defense in the league. To think with our dodgy away record we'd go away to Hull and " win at a canter " is an idiotic comment at best. Again, another comment that I can KIND OF understand the sentiment....... but unsure about the rest- " We all know that Jewell is a clueless **** and we will never get promoted with him in charge! " Now correct me if I'm wrong, but are we not currently on a decent run ? I presume by that comment you want Jewell sacked in the summer and to start again ? I will stick up for you in that this season I expected a LOT LOT more. The 7 defeats on the spin earlier in the season wrecked any chance of us doing well this season. For that I hold Jewell accountable. Some of his decisions HAVE been weird- * Failure to address the central defence in the summer. * Thinking loan signings are the only option * Being VERY SLOW in changing from the diamond when it was plainly obvious we were getting destroyed down each wing * Nathan Ellington............ * Josh Carson ! Quite a lot of other issues too. I can't say this season as a whole has pleased me, it hasn't. Jewell has been unlucky on a couple of things too, like Bullard etc, but yeah that happens. What I will say, is one of the reasons I'm proud to support Ipswich is that the manager gets time. Now personally, I felt with Keane it really bordered on the " this is ridiculous when will this guy get sacked. " I feel if we keep Jewell, and IF he addresses the problem areas then next season I will have quite a lot of confidence in. Lets see what happens from now until the end of the season. We'd normally be pleased with away draws at Southampton ( top ) and Hull, but in context with the season we needed wins ! Will our current form be temporary, or can we maintain it until the season closes ?
IMHO Mr PJ is getting a half decent team together. There has been a few mistakes but there has been a few successes like JET, Hyam, Cressy, Chops and painting the turnstiles . I know some of you like to stick by your guns but what would he need to achieve to win you over .I was calling for a change of manager but would like to see Mr PJ carry on as we are slowly improving.
That is a pretty fair point Hog, I am still unconvinced by Jewell but improvement is there for all to see. For me it is a bit like the the Edwards at right back issue, we all think there is someone out there who is better but realistically who is going to come here & be better than Edwards.? So yep maybe we should stick with him (Jewell), give him the summer & and first few months of next season & see if he has learnt from the numerous mistakes he made for the first half of this season.
I agree HH i said at the end of december that i thought he should either go then or be given the rest of the season to show some progression at the time i hoped he would go but now i think it was right to keep him, it looks like we are starting to become a team with some spirit and as i believe we are safe from the drop but too far from the play-offs results are not as imperitive as normal so its a good time to see which players want to be here and which ones don't and also maybe some experimenting with formations and things. I'm sure not everyone will agree and thats ok i'm not going to get all offensive to people with a differing view as this seems a tad childish and does not achieve anything......................
