Did you see the football league show 12.15pm! 4 muppets who recon they can see into the future giving us no chance and took the p*ss a bit at the end the only guy featured who backed us was samuel l jackson and hes a yank ! i hope at the end of the season we can rub thier noses in it . i suppose we can expect even less respect from the bbc sports news and m.o.t.d. to come but when we prove them all wrong ill love it just love it !!

I saw Football Focus at 12:15 on BBC1. They had a piece on Swansea, but nothing on Norwich or QPR, so at least we should be grateful for that!

it is going to be tough to stay up but nobody can say yet that we will go straight back down, thats stupid, ok we are the favorites with norwich and the fact we have spent little on new players indicates to others that we will struggle. I personally think we will surprise people this season but i admit it will be a tall order, if we lose against the teams around us by big margins then the writing will be on the wall. Brendan has a huge task in front of him and i have confidence that he will do his very best, i just hope his best will be good enough as the bookies every single one of them dont give us a chance.......i hope we prove them wrong but the odds are with them....

I think the swans will do well, but even most Swans fans think they will struggle, so not much point blaming the BBC. If the fans don't have any faith, then you can't really expect the BBC to have any either. Maybe they've been reading this forum. LOL.

I think bookies base on on more general things. Most teams that go up come straight back down, so they'd be stupid to offer long odds against newly teams being relegated. But for people (like me) who think they will stay up this is very good news, because we can get great odds.

I don't think that's true at all. Most TV pundits I've heard have been praising the Swans. They just don't think they're good enough to stay up, which is in line with what most Swans fans on here think.

What was their thoughts on qpr ? They have had a cracking start, lose 4 nil, dyer off injured for probably 8 weeks or so minimum , and a red card and three match ban for another player, probably the worst start by any promoted club I can remember !

Hope we don't do worse, still we only need to beat man city 5 nil to go top <laugh>

Let them right us off. No pressure on us then and you never know we may surprise them. Take underdog title all day long

They weren't that keen on QPR's chances anymore than ours and reckoned that Norwich had the best chance of survival than any of the three promoted teams.

There is no point in getting phased by what the pundits,or anyone else, thinks about our chances of survival.

Sit back, enjoy the journey, and just see what happens.

The way people go on ,sounds like the world will end IF we get relegated, the monies generated just for geting to the Premeirship will secure the future of the club and will put us in a stronger position to bounce back. The club will have expanded its fan base, more interest and a better squad are just a few of the positives that I can see.

Being favourites to go down has it`s advantages. Nobody expects us to do anything, so if we do nothing then we are going along the lines of expectations. So, the pressure should be less on players.

If we start winning and performing like we know we can, then that puts the pressure on our opponents, in a way it`s a win win situation. If we do get relegated, well at least we tried, and it will have been an unforgettable experience.

I do think that Norwich have the best chance of staying up, but that doesn`t mean that we wont. Let`s step up to the challenge and show the pundits that they`ve got it wrong.

Good luck this season and I hope Danny does the job for you.

Think you'll play some of the best football in the league but will the defence be strong enough?

Norwich didn't look great against Wigan; QPR imploded against Bolton. I didn't see anything in either team to suggest they'll finish above us. Early days, of course, and, interestingly, Alan Shearer on MOTD reckons that we are the best equipped of the promoted clubs to stay up. Hope he's right!!!!!!

I saw Brendan refer to us as "under-underdogs" the other day, thought that was quite funny!
