Just before Millwall played Luton i went into my local Ladbrokes and decided to write a slip out that Millwall would win the FA Cup, being a realist i thought that no way will we win the cup but there is always a possibility that we might make the final and so 66/1 was a great each-way bet(half the odds if we lose in the final) so i put two pound each-way. With my other bets i put the slips over the counter, when he got to my slip instead of scanning it he tapped my cup bet into the system and i got a nice little print out, it wasn't until i was checking my bets the next day that i noticed that he had put my bet down as 4 quid on Millwall to win the cup, so instead of picking up £202 if we win the cup or £68 if we lose in the final, i will infact pick up £268 should we win the cup or nothing should we lose. I might also add the only other time i've backed Millwall to win the cup was in 2004 just before our 4th round match at Telford when i had 2 quid each-way at 100/1, picking up £102 which payed for my final ticket and travel to Cardiff
You must be fairly pissed off then as we have a decent chance of making the final but as for winning against either Manchester club or Chelsea.....
Thats where my plan B comes into play if i backed whatever top 3 club to beat us with 50 quid in various combinations i'll still get a healthy return to my initial outlay.
