Richard Wright has been released, which i think is no suprise to any of us and we are reportedly set to sign Birmingham keeper Colin Doyle. At 6ft 5inches and 26 years of age i think this could be a pretty decent move, saying that i don't know too much about him, other than what i have read.

What do you guys think and how did he play ugainst us at PR?

On another note, i see that PJ has said we will find out if Leadboots has signed or not on Saturday by the team selection. If he starts then he is staying, if not then he is off.
Why not just fecking tell us instead of playing stupid cryptic games. Reports suggest he will not be playing and is off!!

Me thinks it will be another season of wholesale changes!!

Also just read this which made me laugh, comment from Jewell:-

“I’ve received no interest at all,” he said. “I keep saying that I don’t think anyone’s got our phone number because no one ever rings me to ask about any of our players. But Jay’s not going anywhere. Absolutely not."

I wonder why, does this not tell you anything Paul?

Reports are just reports until there's something vaguely concrete. You'd have just as much success randomly naming possible targets and seeing which of them end up signing.

Agree with what your saying Lancs but it also seems totally unfair that when we are linked with crap players these boards are awash with comments that Jewell is a complete tosser (Alan Smith for example) but when we are linked to decent players ifs just speculation and shouldn't be taken any notice off.

Jewell has signed some very good players but that hasn't stopped him being a tosser <laugh>
