I was there for Hudds last season along with about 7000 other benighted souls. I wonder what sort of price we'll have to put on this one to stop the Charlton attendance dropping into doublé figures? Still, home is always good in the cup, and there's a chance to progress to round four.
It looks as though Arsenal are offering tickets at a tenner for their tie with Cardiff, given that we are a lesser draw I would suggest that we should offer a place at a fiver.
The blokes who do the draws for both the FA and League Cups seriously need to find us some new opposition!!
It's a tricky one for the club. It would be nice to give our opponent a decent payday, yet we must also ensure the fixture is a reasonably attractive deal for home supporters. I'd say £5 for adults and £10 for a family ticket. I'll be there, though. If it has our name on it and all that.
We must be one of the worst Cup teams in England. Year after year we get bundled out by lower or non-league opponents. The dreadful performance at home to Udders last season was the last straw for me, I'm afraid. It was the same under Curbs, Dowie wasn't around long enough, who can forget the Wycombe game under Uncle Les, or Northwich Victoria under Parky? I used to think "this'll be the year", but now I just feel like hiding behind the sofa till it's all over.
Under Dowie, didn't we beat Bolton 4-3 in the League Cup. I may have made that up, but it seems real enough...
Love the 3rd Round Cup draw Stopped everything at 4.10 yesterday to follow it on BBC text, praying we would get Man Utd away. They need to drop the prices to fivers & tenners now, or it will be a 5,000 turnout for either fixture.
Think the rules forbid any tickets below a tenner. I vowed three or four years ago after arching our reserves draw with WBA reserves that I would never attend a third round tie again and I see no reason to break that promise now.
