Seriously Woy what the hell is wrong with you and why are you protecting that scumbag Terry. Rio is definitely worth a call up after the injury to cahill and still you refuse to give the guy a chance. Footballing reasons my ass mate.

  2. Is this the same Rio Ferdinand that has underperformed for England his whole career and once included in his prep for a World Cup a spoof TV show clowning around?

Ferdinand is an arse who is more interested in self publicity than anything else. Roy has shown strength leaving this clown out of the squad.

Maybe Rio doesn't want to play after Roy's snub? Maybe he doesn't want to play as he has to be with JT?

  6. I think he does want to play - he and his agent are crying about it.

True to form Ferdinand and his agent have to come out and create a story ahead of the Euro's instead of just accepting that the England manager has made his choice. Ferdinand cares not one jot about England, just himself.

Rio and others have assumed that he should be first backup on the list. If the guy can't play two matches in a row at the Euro's he's pretty useless.

Although with the inclusion of yet another Liverpool player, I'm starting to wonder about Woy's ulterior motives.

I think he wants to play even after he was snubbed originally. With everything that has happend I admire him for putting his country first and maybe his resentment of JT (if any) on the back burner. I think the F.A are making more of the situation by not picking Rio.

  10. I think its a smart move - Hodgeson will ahve seen just how disruptive the players can be as their ego's take hold. Going with some players you know you can trust is not a bad idea. Its a a refreshing change of approach. The so called 'golden generation', who were rubbish in every tournament have needed to be broken up fro a long time - Hodegson seems brave enough to do it.

If Rio was willing to come in and Roy still didn't call him after he was made first choice backup, then this is truly dodgy....

Are you on the wind up again?

I am surprised that Hodegson didnt give you a call, seeing as you say you know more than George Graham and Merson about football... amazed that Neville got in ahead of you <ok>

I'm Only discussing this because Wenger won't allow me to get excited about potential transfers due to the lack of any real gems in the pipeline. Maybe a 7 year old potential star from a small south American village if I know Arsene.

Wasn't Rio automatic first choice backup, as the final selection was between JT and Rio? Wasn't it down to footballing reasons and not about JT's racist outburst? Now that Cahill is out shouldn't he be the first one on the list?

  17. I dont think there was ever an order to the back ups. I think what Ferdinand is now doing through the press fully justifies Hodgesons decision to leave him out. What would happen during the tournament if Ferdinand was picked but didnt play - the Twitter machine would be in overdrive criticising the manager.

Good point. Rio seems to think he was entitled to being picked. Hodgson did well to stay clear of picking him.
