I think I checked not606 while taking the dog for a walk and must have put my phone back into my pocket without locking it I'm always doing it texting gobbledygook or ringing random people but this was a first
This is the best England team I have seen for a long time. Credit to Gareth S for pulling together a great team. Trippier and Maguire have been the finds in this tournament and Pickford has plaid a blinder in the last 2 matches. Kane has been a great captain. I'm not keen on strikers being captain but he has played a major role as captain in this tournament; couldn't ask for any more from him.
My only moan about Southgate is his continued selection of Sterling who has been crap and only looks good for Man City because of the world class players around him. On the other hasnd i love the attitude of Southgate he's so laid back and has the potential to be a great England manager, not many before him would have brought so many young players into a tournament who have mostly done well for him.
Sterling missed another couple of sitters yet again but still stays on the pitch ffs.maybe he's southgates love child
I agree about Sterling. I would drop him but, to be fair, he has caused havoc in defences which has, to some extent, freed up others. To me, he always seems to do the hard bit (causing the havoc) but then ****s up by either, not passing soon enough, or trying to beat one more player. Yesterday he had a golden opportunity to lay the ball off to Lingard but turned into trouble - infuriating. Another thing he does is just the opposite; when he is outrunning the defence in a break, instead of keeping going and drawing the free kick/penalty (like Kane does) he turns and passes it back or loses it. I'm not sure he will eve get out of these habits
The problem with Sterling is that he doesn't look up I call him chicken as he plays like a headless one
