I came to accept many years ago that Newcastle fans are completely different from other fans, their deluded ideas that they're a cut above all other clubs is quite unfathomable.
They are all bullseye fans as well as NUFC supporters , in the words of Jim Bowen , look at the trophies you could have won over the last 50 to 60 years -sorry you didn’t !!!

Very much so.

It is the most mis- placed sense of superiority it is possible to imagine.

For most of my time, travelling a lot of it, they have been an object of ridicule. They still are, but they are now widely loathed too. And they are still ****e!

I graft with a load of Mags, canny blokes that's went over for years that you can talk to about football and for the most part, the old school fellas aren't too comfortable with the takeover. However, the younger ones, now there's a breed of Michael Hunts. If one starts up, giving it the bigun, give them the "Jurassic Park", just stay very still, look at them with no expression on your face, a look of confusion washes over them and after a short time they simply **** off. They may mutter "5-1" or "fizzy pop", but the lack of reaction confuses them, abit like when Robocop got his new prime directives in Robocop 2.

Most mags, whether plastic or not have that underlying delusion that they are one of the biggest clubs in the world and deserve to be in the top 4. They may try to hide it, but it always comes out eventually. Most mags you speak to will talk about the Saudi takeover and pretend that they aren't expecting instant success and that they should build the club up over the next 5-10 years, but under the surface they are bubbling up with talk of Mbappe, Haaland and winning the Champions League in 3 years time. They just can't help it.
Not to mention all the Top 6 clubs got together to block the takeover because they were scared of Newcastle's power etc etc etc zzzzzz

I was talking to one, a in-law, all my lasses family are mags.
He was saying about Harry Kane, thinks he would be an ok signing, I said just ok, he then said, it will do for now, I nearly spat my drink out.
Been a Seaham lad, I don’t waste any beer.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, I’ve got to say he was serious and not one of these normal mags, but I think been bought out by the rich owners have really effect some people
