http://foxestrust.co.uk/2129/promotion-dreams-in-ruins-after-city-fail-again ... although I quite agree on the point about a lack of 'grit' in the side ...
"So how could it be that Charlton were better than us in every department - they were fitter, more determined and better organised - and at no stage did we get on top of them." So what was all that bollocks that pearson was spouting in his post match interview then? Good to have a bit of clarity brought to the situation
Bottom of the thread Time to nominate someone else for these reports! This guy's probably chucked himself off a bridge.
I stopped reading 3 pars in, an over-reaction to a bad result. All of the top 6 will drop points at some point between now and the end of the season. We have lost 2 games to teams we should have beaten, but it's only 2 games - hardly a crisis. We had a wobbly spell late november/early december but recovered.
Cant disagree with his summary of the match. Our only player who actually took on and beat a defender was de Laet. Knockaert and Marshall were both shocking, and the only decent ball that Marshall sent over was his very last touch before he was subbed. However, as I have said before, we will drop points when we shouldnt and we will cruise games when we least expect to. The rumours about Kane and Tunnicliffe are hopefully true, as we do need other options. Millwall worked out that if they closed down Knockaert and Marshall quickly then we would not be creative at all, and they were right. Dont think Blackpool will do this on Saturday, so I hope for a win there. This will still go all the way to the end of the season.
I know lots of us fans are sometimes a bit 'glass half empty' types but blimey I think someone has taken their glass away & smashed it!!
