Wouldn't you just love it if McNally persuaded Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to come over as manager. Speaking with Villa deomonstrates he has aspirations to manage in the premier league but after an in-depth look at Villa he obviously is holding out for a well run club heading in the right direction.

I know many feel betrayed by PL leaving us for Villa but Mick Dennis summed up my feelings perfectly. I honestly thought PL would leave us for a Bundesliga club as final preparation for a top job but if he does turn Villa round he will enhance his reputation. Thanks for the ride Paul it was some trip.

No, Ole Gunner is not the man for the job.

If it works out at Villa he'll do exactly the same to them in three years time and he'll try to take their best players with him the guys a weasel.

Yep, sadly in hindsight this was obvious after Colchester. He'll do the same to Villa. He's destined for a top 4 club job and he'll do what it takes to land one.

We knew he was ambitious when signed him and channeled his hunger to get us back in the premier league.
I am sorry he has moved but I do not think he is a weasel. He delivered for us. TBH I am far more p*ssed of with holt and his agent.

We haven't really done too badly out of him, have we.

With regards to Holt, well, he's just not too bright, is he. Has done us proud all the same. I've lost count how many strikers I've seen at the club, bring on the next generation.

He delivered for us but that's past which is quickly forgotten, it's about the present and future now his shown his true intentions he has no respect for our club we made him what he is. Personally I'm not having that he can go do one his as a good as dead to me.

Stepping all over those who help him, he'd sell his own soul to fulfil his ambitions he has no honour.

he did very a great job for us no doubt. I just wish he'd been more honest with us. I feel like he's been planning this for a while and yet kept putting out statements of assurance to the fans that all was well. I know its all part of the game, but its depressing that in the world of football any positive statement should probably be classed as PR guff rather than honest human sentiment. Same goes for Holt. By all means have ambition, but couple it with respect for those who have supported and believed in you for the last three years too.

Funny how rapport which has been built up in three years can be destroyed in 48 hours. Lambert to be fair I think has been pretty loyal, three years for a manager doesn't happen often.

Holt on the other hand throwing toys out of pram is irritating because he isn't being paid enough. I know it's not been confirmed it's solely to do with money but if it wasn't about money than the reason would be out by now. Agents will probably never admit the sole reason behind an action is money motivated. That disappoints me, that he would rather get a few more grand a week than to remain captain at a club where he has 26'000 fans singing his name every other week. If he was to retire at a club to you know a coaching or scouting role will become available to look after a club legend after retirement if he wanted to of course but I wonder if he though about that one?

Just think Holty is being lead by his blood sucking agent, dump him Holty, the few extra bucks you might get is not going to make a material difference to your life, having a lasting legacy as good as Hucks and Gunny have cannot be bought.

Grant please dump your agent and just stay Yellow and Green, you dont want to be an overpaid bench sitting no name in a big club do you?

Fair enough that's your opinion on Lambert mate, but I think his attempted to do a lot more damage then we all actually think give it a few months time and I'm sure some things will come to light. Even the old boy turned on Holt that text made me laugh so much yesterday. Thursday night he was doing impressions of Villa fans on talksport absolutely ripping them to shreds.

i agree with yellowlittle. i think lambert has just felt he's done his stint at norwich and its time for a fresh challenge. i feel no bitterness towards him or his decision, though i'm frustrated it wasn't handled better. i'm far more disappointed with holt, though i feel he's being badly advised/represented by his agent. lambert will go on to bigger and better things - holt may well drift into obscurity and that would be a shame having worked so hard to get where he is.

just to add, i believe holt is now finished at carrow road and the only way i can see him being allowed back in would be to 'do a hucks' and sack his agent publicly. that would be a bold statement. doubt he'll do it - he's been with him nearly all his career.

It seems the rumours that PL had fallen out with McNally over transfer funds / wages were true after all. PL knew what our financial position was when he took over and he knows what it is now. Evidently he wanted City to gamble and McNally was having none of it, the board were sticking to their '7 year plan'. PL is very ambitious and IMO all he cares about is his career and has come out of this looking pretty selfish. He's thrown his toys out of the pram and cut off his own nose to spite his face. Aston Villa are a once great club but not anymore, I've got a feeling that for once it's going to go tits-up for him.

Adious Paul, thanks for the memories, but don't expect me to applaud you on your return to Carrow Road.

As I've said on another thread, I just don't understand why players need agents. Agents only want to stir things up so their 'client' signs a new deal, and the agent then picks up a nice wedge from the club. How much has NCFC wasted on agents fees over the years? Agents should be paid by the players not the clubs.

Holt was honest. Rather than just say he wanted out Lambert, said nothing. But we should be bitter to either, because it was better they were here for three years than not at all.

His not happy sure him and Donaldo will have a word about it in London later. I just hope they don't bump into anyone from Birmingham because you know what The Chuckle Brothers get like when somethings in front of them they don't like.

You on for the MK Don's game in August mate? Might bring a few of my lot down to that one. I hear the good luck omen Shane might be going.

Back to original thread though all been confirmed thankful it's all over let's get a better manager then that prick.

....as i read it lambert will have a similar transfer budget to us, only he has to rebuild the club as well. can see them having a struggle before he can make an impact, just how long this lasts could be crucial to his career.

Me and YellowLittle are brothers. Our Father is a massive Norwich fan his so passionate about our club he happens to have a bit of a short fuse too about matters concerning it, in his office at work he has various pictures of Norwich legends on his wall including one of Holt who is his hero, his been absolutely distraught with whats happened at the club this summer and Friday's news pushed him over the edge we all got a text from him saying how his binned the picture and some very nasty comments about Holt which I won't put on here as it's unfair.
