Was gonna put this in the transfer thread but I wanted this subject Not a bad price to be fair. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...l-Jordan-Mutch-impressive-season-Cardiff.html
That seems a steal for a 22 year old. Certainly one who can score goals from midfield. He was excellent against is at their place and ran the show for the first 20 minutes.
Really hope this is true I suspect there is interest, but the Daily Mail are not very reliable, and I'd be shocked if Cardiff would sell for only £1.5m
Would be an unreal coup if we can pull this off, the DM is hardly the most reliable source around so will wait to see it on Sky or the Beeb first before getting excited.
Surely they can't be that desperate for cash? The parachute payment alone should see them alright for next season. I hope you are right tho... It would be a 'steal'.
He's in his last year of contract I believe. Even so, £1.5m for such a quality young English lad seems ludicrous... Absolutely buzzing if this comes off, really rate him.
I'm hoping that all these 'free transfers'/ 'cheap deals' is setting aside money for a couple of 'marquee' signings!?! We live in hope !!!!!!!
I hope we get a few exciting players this summer. How id love to have an asamoah Gyan walk through the doors if the stadium of light.
We need numbers mate, and the new signings coming in are all proven Premiership players who won't take long to adapt. Signings like this mean we can add to the squad whilst keeping our powder dry for when the serious negotiating comes in! Hoping to see Benega, Borini and Lescott join as the "big name" signings, but who knows what Congerton and Gus have in store. It's daft since I love the World Cup and was looking forward to the summer and a break from watching Safc, but part of me is already excited for the new season...
Reading on twitter he has a £1.5m relegation release clause. If true that explains the very low price, not convinced it is true though
Interesting, it would certainly fit the recruitment of young footballing talent were going for. Personally if were going for a big name signing this summer I hope its a centre half as that's what we really need. Brown has been great but surely we wont get another season out of him? JOS is also looking slower and more prone to mistakes.
