I have had a heated pm exchange with our (poor)Moderator this morning, and it made me wonder as to what the wonderful people on here thought. Mr van Gerwen is of the opinion that people should not work for the club under the current board. I disagree, things are never perfect where you work.
I wouldn't go to work there (as in begin a new job there) under this owner. But if I already had a job there when he bought the Club I would continue to work there for as long as my conscience would allow. If I was an employee at CAFC as well as being a fan of the Club it would be difficult to leave. A new owner is unlikely to wish to re-employ any ex-staff who leave because of objections to the previous owner. Unfortunately those people will be regarded as potentially disruptive in the future. Employers want their workers to behave, not make trouble.
My view is that if you changed your job every time you were not happy with what is going on, you would be moving every six months.
After swimming with sharks in the City I would work for anybody. As long as they paid me loads of money. I am mercenary.
There are currently 1 million advertised vacancies in this country. That’s plenty, if you have a modicum of talent & ability and are willing to get off your arse. No, fans should NOT work for Duchatelet. Three in particular do it for vanity, and I’m not referring to Spineless Parkes.
PS - I haven’t seen Paul Ellis at a Charlton game for ages. He is a good bloke, is Paul. I do hope he is ok.
Ridiculous, are you telling the members of this forum that you leave a job each time you are not happy with things? No, of course you are not.
About 900,000 of those are dead-end low pay zero hours gig economy "jobs" that a teenager or twenty-something still living at home can just about survive on. If you've got a job in this country that is not on a fixed term contract and pays you more than £9 an hour you hang on to it if you're not stupid.
If Oxfam offered you an extra 20p an hour to defect to their shop, you’d move faster than a rat up a drainpipe.
If I went to Oxfam no doubt I'd bump into you more often. I'd extend the clothes section for a start.
Does your fawning admiration for Charlton employees extend to the programme sellers? After all, you give them money every week.
My mate thinks the programme sellers are worth every penny they get paid. He always gives the money to the programme sellers as they get a cut of what they sell.
Don’t let the little bastard get away with it. He can only afford hideous coats as a result of being a conman. I mean, FFS, apart from Bob the Builder, who wears gear like this ??
