Apparently you guys are closest to capturing Sahin but Sahin is holding out for a move to Arsenal. Mou and alonso are trying to convince him otherwise and have agreed everything with Liverpool. So my question is if the reports (by Turkish football, marca and someone by the name of LiverpoolFCNews on twitter) are true would you want him when you already have Lucas, Allen and Gerard fulfillling the midfield three?
I wouldn't be happy with this, because if he wants to go to Arsenal... then he is trying to manufacture a move to Manchester. Which is a big no no in my opinion.
I think he gives good depth. Gerrard can't play the whole season, but I want to see Shlevey feature as much as possible in midfield. Lucas is just back from a bad injury and Allen helps in that department.
Sahin will choose who he wants to choose, no point thinking into it too much. Both clubs will be offering him similar financially and a similar rank in the team (first team, possibly a sub) and so it is down to him to choose. I wouldn't be gutted if we lost out because Arsenal were in for him before us TBH
meh, we're only offering a loan, not a perminant deal so if he doesn't perform he'll go back to Madrid, no questions asked. If he does come to us, performs, signs for us and then tries to get a move to 'Little Manchester' then i'd be annoyed
If it's true, I wouldn't want him here permanently. However, if it's just a loan move, why not? He'd be a good squad player and would help our push for a top 4 spot.
