So guys, would you want Gareth Bale at Liverpoole?

Do you rate him? could he bring big things to our team?

I know he would cost crazy money and could take some convincing, but he has talent, and skills that we dont have. If we could sign Bale, other clubs would definitely look at us and think 'They'v done well'.

I actually see Bale as the perfect example of John Henry's player recruitment plan and business plan.

Bale won a vote with Barcalona fans as the player they would most like to be their star signing of 2012.

At the start of the season I thought he was overrated but now I don't think he is. Compared to the likes of Downing I would be happy to spend £40m on him. He can cross the ball and his pace has ripped teams apart this season. It would be worth buying him for £40m to improve our squad at the same time as taking a key player away from Spurs.

Never going to happen, he would walk into any side in the world. Think it may take more than £40 mil especially as Spurs seem reluctant sellers these days. Shame he is not English....

Think you have been playing to much football manager!

    40m ffs.

For what, someone that becomes useless when your FB supports the winger to mark him out of the game, the diving, no right foot what so ever, he's more left than Lennin

Plays the odd good game though

Plus he is a great professional and a role model. He would be great for shirt sales and improving the image of our squad a little. I can see him linking with Suarez well and he can defend to.

I really think signing Bale could be a huge deal for Liverpool, and I feel Dalglish and Henry could pull this off together.

Ha! No way, haven't played Champ man for years! I don't think we have a chance in hell of signing him...but like I said...I would be happy if we spent £40m on him, at the start of the season I wouldn't have been.

the circle jerk about him is doing my head in but you go too far the other way, somewhere in between I think. But yes I would still have him as he would undoubtedly improve our squad.

Never going to happen. Spurs wouldn't sell unless it was for silly money and if anything he'll more likely to go to one of the Manchester clubs.

I did think he was a bit overhyped last season for 2 or 3 good games in the Champions League but he's done well this season. I tink his ability to dribble and run with the ball at pace and then deliver a brilliant cross at the end of it is what makes him a great player.

Best winger in the premier league and probably the world at the moment. No idea why anyone would say no.

Brilliant player. Cannot see him leaving Spurs for another Prem team, especially as we are lower down the league than them.

Only huge money tempt him, even then massively unlikely.

Never going to happen whilst Spurs are in with a shout of top 4 but anyone who thinks he wouldn't improve our squad needs their head testing <ok>

You just have to look at him to see how much he is enjoying his time at Spurs at the moment.

Unfortunately, it's never gonna happen as if he leaves Spurs he would certainly want guaranteed Champions League football and silverware. Would certainly improve our attack hugely though <ok>

But who could you see more likely winning in the league in the next 5 years? Us or Spurs?

I meant if he left he would probably want to go to one of the top clubs in Europe who would challenge for the Champions League regularly, sorry if I didn't make that clear enough <ok>

    Fair enough.

I could imagine him at Barca or Inter, but no where else abroad.

I dont think Liverpool could pull this off though.

Inter? There on the way down at the moment.

He's very injury prone and when he gets older he can no longer rely on his power in his legs to beat people in a race, would be useless at 30.
